Magandang balita ito ... yan ang tamang desisyon mula sa namumuno ng PHL Basketball. At sana hindi lang 2 years but rather here to stay na ang program.
kaso kailangan ng additional support mula sa PSC.. sagot na nga ni MVP ang gastos, kahit sana sa mga scouting and additional benefits tumulong sila. at sana hindi harangin ng PBA ang pag recruit ng players sa gilas.

Even if they failed to make it against Kuwait, we still have the duty to appreciate them because of the sacrifices they made to bring honor to our country
the least thing we could do is to appreciate this guys for their effort and sacrifices... sila ang naghirap at nagtiis, tayo nanood lang at nag cheer.. win or lose, we should be proud of these guys.

they are the first ones to file application for the draft.. unless pull out nila application nila, sigurado maddraft sila..

magandang balita na in-extend ang program ng smart gilas for another two years.. sana mag pull out na ng application yung nagagamit na smart gilas players (lutz, lassiter, casio, etc).. tapos recruit new members na magagamit...
my take for the next two years is to get the most effective, affordable, dependable naturalized player. kung si doughthit na ito, ok lang, pero kung may mas makukuha na defensive specialist mas ok. get slaughter back to the team, and get fajardo then improve them. release na rin ng tnt si japeth tutal kita naman na kahit wala siya sa team highly competitive parin naman sila. recruit 6'1 chris banchero for point spot. tapos recruit pa ng ibang athletic, tall, shooters... para kahit paano makasabay tayo sa height ng ibang bansa.
:rolleyes: baka sa mga fil ams na ito may makuha ang team na effective..

btw, GILAS program extended for two more years... PBA commisioner Salud said those GILAS players already submitted their application may pull out if they want.

dapat sana may playoffs for the final seat! nakakawalang gana na talagang manood ng PBA!
as much as i, too, don't like that quotient system... the PBA board said that before the conference started, they discussed the application quotient system, and all pba teams, through their representatives, agreed to that...

3. should petron loss and bgk wins, tie between alaska and bgk. alaska won in prelims over bgk by +4 pts, bgk won in semis over alaska by +4pts. conference quotient takes place. bgk has superior quotient over alaska, bgk will advance to the finals.
4. should both petron and bgk wins their games, three way tie for alaska, petron, and bgk. petron will advance to the finals because of superior quotient.

i was wondering, what if they decided na di palaruin yung import ng 4Q para lang di ma-disrupt yung chemistry..nanalo kaya sila?
check out their assist in their 2 games without an import, 31 and 27. they won both games... their last game,11 assists.
just an update: willie miller will be traded to air21 for kg canaleta (still awaiting the commissioner's apprival)
i think this trade already approved by commissioner..
just wondering how on earth commissioner approved this trade if air 21 is already out of contention while bgk enters the semis?

GILAS program extension is said to mean 250k from 150k/month. Now, gilas players who wants to enter the PBA draft may think twice.. max. salary for rookies in the PBA is 150k, 250k for 2nd year, and 350k for 3rd year onwards..
good strategy by MVP.. TNT is picking 9th in the draft.. wala na masyado gilas players pagdating sa kanila, so wag nalang sila ipa draft, para hindi ibang team makinabang...
