    SG lost to Lebanon, 81 - 80 good game though it only shows the development of SG is good and catching up with the other Asian powerhouses. Lassiter sizzled with 25 points (7 - 3 pointers), Asi with only 5 points...

    good idea... pero... asian teams nga di natin matalo, miami heat pa... :P

     

    hindi yung winning against the heat ang pupuntiryahin dun kung sakali... para magkaroon sila ng experience playing with bigger, athletic guys. kung magkaka experience sila makipaglaro sa heat, mas magiging madali sa kanila makipaglaban sa mga asian teams. plus, playing against the heat could boost the confidence of smart gilas players.

    gusto naman pala ni coach erik spoelstra na tulungan ang smart gilas... bakit di makipag exhibition game ang smart gilas sa miami heat? siguro naman with wade, james, haslem, and bosh sa heat eh talagang mapapasabak ang smart gilas..

    ayun n bugbug n nga hehehe talo n nmn..

    no answer againts the bigman ng alaska buti nlng swerte si yeo d masyado n tambakan smb nka habol

    pa pero talo p dn...

     

    last seconds wrong moves by smb... with 29.9 seconds remaining, with aces just up by 1 point, smb opted to foul alaska and sent dela cruz to the line.. ayun 2/2 sa free throw. then weak pass by washington led to steal by the aces.

    If I were the management of Ginebra I would lure Japeth Aguilar out of Smart Gilas hire the Big J as coach and develop his talent in the Pro.

     

    Nasa Talk and Text si Japeth, at pinahiram lang sa smart gilas.. kaya di pwedeng basta nalang kunin ng ginebra yun. plus, after the walk-out incident last confe, parang mortal na kalaban na ng tnt ang bgk. kaya malabong ibigay nila si japeth sa bgk. (which makes me wonder, kaya siguro pumayag ang tnt na mapunta sa bgk si yancy thru air21, kasi liability pa ito as a center).. :lol:

    Japeth? huwag na lang. Media creation lang si Japeth all because of the influence of his father. Yes, he played for NCAA USA pero not in the higher divisions and bench player rin. I think Rabeh will fit in better, may katawan, bata and mas may abilidad kaysa kay Japeth. Any latest news sa Barangay? Tahimik ah!

    Siguro kung mayroong monetary considerations involved pero kung player-to-player lang..........hhmmmm....parang nag barter ka ng ginto vs. kahoy.

     

    siguro kahit may monetary value, hindi papayag ang bmeg ibigay si pingris. last time binigay nila si pingris sa smb, nagsisi sila ng husto dun. kaya nung nakuha nila uli si pingris, hindi na nila ittrade ito. and kung ako ang bmeg, mauuna ko nang itrade si kerby kesa kay pingris..

    RAW Taping for August 2

     

    (MELINA RETURNS!!)

     

    Edge comes out to the ring for a promo. He states that he remembered that he should only trust one person, and that's himself. He wants to do things his way when it comes to Nexus, and tonight, he's getting started by challenging Wade Barrett to a one-on-one contest, and he doesn't want any help from anyone. Cue up R-Truth's music. Truth comes out and puts Edge in his place, reminding Edge that it needs to be all about the team come Summerslam, and that Edge needs to put his pride behind him. The GM sound hits, and Michael Cole announces that Edge will get his wish, and that the match between Edge and Barrett will be next. Truth wishes Edge a sarcastic good luck, and tells him that he will be on his own.

     

    (1) Edge vs. Wade Barrett ended in No Contest in 7:00 when Nexus hit the ring and Edge escaped through crowd. Wade Barrett comes out to the ring solo. Some decent action for a while, climaxing when Edge hits the Impaler DDT and appeared to be setting up for the Spear. Barrett saw it coming, though, and bailed out of the ring. Barrett then smiles and makes a motion, leading to all of the Nexus members rushing the ring. However, Edge saw them coming and bailed out through the crowd. No official announcement was made for a finish.

     

    (2) Divas champion Alicia Fox & Tamina & Jillian beat Natalya & Gail Kim & Eve in 3:00. Melina made her return, taking out Alicia. Typical throw-all-the-Divas-in-a-match that ended when Tamina distracted Natalya long enough for Alicia to hit her axe kick and get the pin on Natalya. Alicia then grabbed the mic and gloated about how, no matter if it was in singles, tags, six-person, or even fatal four-way, that she had beaten all the Divas that the Raw locker room had to offer. You knew where this was going real quick. Cue the return of Melina. The crowd pops huge as Melina makes her triumphant return to the ring. Alicia tries to scatter out, but gets tossed back in the ring to take a beat down from Melina ending with her primal scream split-leg drop finisher. Nothing was officially announced, but it seemed to plant the seeds for these two to have a match at Summerslam.

     

    Edge finds John Cena backstage. After a brief argument, Edge concludes that Cena doesn't really have his back, so Edge quits the team for Summerslam. Chris Jericho then comes up behind Cena and tells Cena that Cena should be the one to quit the team so there can be some cohesiveness under his lead. Jericho offers to face Cena in a match where the loser must quit the SummerSlam team. Cena hesitates, but eventually accepts.

     

    John Morrison is backstage talking with Great Khali and Runjin Singh, apparently trying to mend ways after their fight last week. When Morrison leaves, a few Nexus members stop Khali. They tell Khali that the reason they didn't attack him last week was because they respect himi, and they say the doors are open if Khali's ever interested.

     

    (3) WWE champion Sheamus beat Goldust in 2:00. A video package highlights the feud that Sheamus and Goldust had about a year ago on ECW that climaxed with Sheamus defeating Goldust in a No DQ match. Tonight's contest would be nothing of the same. Sheamus absolutely squashed Goldust with all his trademark moves, hitting the Celtic Cross for the pinfall. To quote Sheamus in a post-match interview, "What a difference a year makes." Sheamus goes on to promise that he will take out Orton at Summerslam, just like he took out Triple H in the past.

     

    (4) John Cena beat Chris Jericho in 12:00. Jericho was forced to quit Team Cena at Summerslam. A good match between these two, as they have had many times before. Cena appeared to legitimately tweak his knee about two-thirds of the way through the match. The finish came with Jericho going for the Walls Of Jericho, but Cena rolls through and goes for the STF, with Jericho tapping out before Cena even really had a chance to lock in the hold. Cena grabs the mic and asks Jericho to stay on the team, but leaves the choice to Jericho - he can either walk back to the ring and let bygones be bygones, or he can walk away from the whole thing. Jericho teases a return to the ring before walking out on Cena, apparently leaving the team for Summerslam as well.

     

    A long promo for Alberto Del Rio airs.

     

    Backstage, Edge and Chris Jericho agree that Cena needed them more than they needed Cena. They talk about maybe it's time they put their differences aside and be the two dominant forces on Raw once again. As Edge and Jericho give a bro-hug, the GM queue sounds. Cole announces that next week on Raw, Edge and Jericho will take on John Cena and his partner, Bret Hart

    , but with the seven Nexus members as ringside lumberjacks.

     

    Randy Orton cuts a backstage promo. He reminds Sheamus that he's also put Triple H on the shelf for some time, so that feat doesn't mean much to him. Orton invites Sheamus to watch his match against Miz tonight so he can see what he'll be up against at Summerslam.

     

    (5) Great Khali (w/Runjin Singh) beat Ted DiDiase (w/Maryse) in 3:00 when Nexus distracted DiBiase. There was an interesting plot twist when Wade Barrett and Skip Sheffield came down to ringside to grab the Million Dollar Belt. This allowed DiBiase to be distracted long enough for Khali to chop him down and then follow with the vice grip for the win.

     

    (6) Randy Orton beat U.S. champion The Miz in 12:00 in a non-title main event. Miz cuts a promo before the match saying that Orton will pay for giving him the RKO last week. The match starts off, and about four minutes into it, Sheamus comes to the top of the ramp to observe. After about seven minutes more of good solid action, Orton drops Miz with the RKO to pick up the win. Post-match, Sheamus attempts to run down to ringside, but Orton sees him coming and stares him down. Orton and Sheamus staring at each other is the close of the show.

    Guys I know na mahal natin ang barangay kaya ganito tau mag react but come to think of this. SMB was loaded with an all star cast since 2008 and other teams are scared because of their line up but what happened? my point is before we keep blaming coach jong, caguioa, miller, JJ, or BGK management. We should look after progress. SMB took two years before nila na harvest ung line up nila..sinisisi rin si Siot during that time pero kung titignan mo nga sila ngaun, mas malakas ang locals ng barangay. kaya lang sila mataas coz they got an energetic Freeman. Imagine kung napunta sa atin si freeman?

     

    Im sorry to tell you this guyz, may revamp na mangyayari but hindi involve si jong. ang sabi menk, mc,JJ, miller, tubid, intal will stay. hihintayin nila ang offical line up ng meralco kc interesado sila kay ali peek and marlou aquino, interesado rin sila kay peter june simon ng bmeg.

     

    Sa part ng smb, kaya nila maghintay ng two years to finally show what they are capable of dahil bata pa ang mga players nila.. pero with the bgk's lineup, na halos aging na, then interested pa sila sa mga aging big men na sila peek at marlou? wala na tayong hihintaying two years dahil hindi na tatagal ng 2 years ang mga players na yan.

     

    hindi ba ang isang team pag nanalo ng championship, usually magpapalakas pa yan para masustain ang winning records nila? after bgk won championship last year, bakit parang bumaba na ang game nila? also, if you notice, ang hilig ni coach jong magpasok ng 3 guards combination kahit hindi na effective ito sa isang game (pwedeng effective ito sa isang game, pero hindi sa susunod na game). pero come next game, ganun parin ang strategy niya, usually ang coach nagaadjust yan pag natalo sila, pero si coach jong ganun parin ang strategy niya kahit ineffective na nung last game.

    also, hindi naman siguro kasalanan ni jong ang lineup -- i would think it's the team manager who thinks up the deals that are made. siguro ang pagkakamali nga ni jong is guard-dominated ang teams niya and kulang nga siya ng bigs, pero i had the idea that this was a result of some management decisions, hindi sa coach. and by management, i mean san miguel corp, to improve their 4 teams?

     

    kung napapanood mo ang nbn sports tuwing hapon sa channel 4.. ilan beses ininterview si coach jong regarding the trades na pinapasukan niya. siya mismo ang nagsasabi na kailangan niya ng guards dahil madalas mainjured ang mga guards niya. to the extent naman na puro guards nalang ang nasa lineup niya. it's the team manager who makes the trade deals, pero kinukunsulta muna si coach jong bago sila pumasok sa mga deals na yan.

    hindi naman kasalanan lahat ni jong, it's about the numbers, you only have 240 minutes (per game) to distribute among 12 players, and realistically only 60 minutes (per game) of playing time for 7 players (after the 1st five plays 3 quarters per player), eh sa dami ng good (but not great) players ng ginebra, hirap sa rotation. or maybe dahil limited ang minutes kaya ang good players hindi maging great?

     

    hindi naman dahil maraming good players ang bgk ay reason na para sabihin nahihirapan sila sa rotation. dahil sa coach' strategy parin ito.. remember, the 4 teams playing in the semis has atleast 9 or 10 good players, pero nagagawa parin ng coaches na magrotate ng players to contribute to the team. it's not about having few good players, it's about having few good guards sharing the playing minutes, while having limited big men.. and having a coach so obsessed in having so much guards in their line up that they are willing to let go of their big men.
