  1. share this in your networking sites until it reaches may weather. then he'll run out of excuses!

yeah, hope a lot of people could read this.. and i think this is a better analysis with supporting evidences than the loud mouth accusations of GAYMAN.

if there are other social sites that you're a member, please post this to further enlighten the people about mayweather.

and as long as we're winning, walang mali sa decision ni coach... ;) ;) ;)

  4. sino nakapanood ng game ng JORDAN and IRAN?

for those who have watched the game, paano naging takbo ng laro? medyo dikit ang laban at humabol ang JORDAN, pero tingin niyo napagod kaya sila? dahil kung ganoon, may advantage tayo sa JORDAN.

and for those who think na almost sure na tayo makapasok sa finals, dahil tinalo na natin ang JORDAN nung 2nd round... remember, we took the whole JORDAN team by surprise.. hindi nila expect na maglalaro si lutz at lassiter. unlike ngayon, napaghandaan na nila itong dalawa. so, kung worn out ang JORDAN pagpasok sa game bukas, malaking bagay sa atin ito.. but aside from that, still we have to pray and cheer that our GILAS PILIPINAS team would go all the way to the championship.

  5. PHILIPPINE NATIONAL TEAM achievements:

5th place 1936 Olympics games - THE BEST FINISH BY AN ASIAN TEAM IN OLYMPIC BASKETBALL.

3rd place 1954 FIBA World Championship - ALSO THE BEST PERFORMANCE OF AN ASIAN TEAM IN WORLD.

    5-time FIBA Asia Champion (1960,1963,1967,1973,1986)

4-time Asian Games Gold Medalist (1951,1954,1958,1962)

  6. Di ko napanood! May coverage ako sa MOA. Anyway CONGRATULATIONS sa Gilas. What time bukas ang laban?

hahaha... pareho tayo, di ko rin napanood. bad trip, buti nalang may nag uupdate sa akin. kaso mas maganda parin kung pinapanood mo kesa nakikibalita.

  7. I'm still hoping that it will happen within the next 2 years yun Floyd-Pacman fight.

and i hope that if this day will come, floyd mayweather is the one begging pacman to fight him..

seriously, after mayweather's fight and performance last time against ortiz.. i think his best option would be a rematch with ortiz (though, i don't think it will go any better on sales than the last time).. wala na siyang pwedeng kalabanin na makaka attract ng interest sa manonood kundi si pacman.

while pacman could give fans a lot to watch out for.. (sergio martinez willing to go down 150lbs just to have a match with pacman).

  8. Ok lang yun. Sena is yet to prove his worth anyway

well, i would rather try my luck on unproven SENA that stick with the proven DE OCAMPO.. proven "not worthy"!

Sana binitawan na lang nila si yancy.

yan din ang iniisip ko... or sana man lang trade him sa shopinas kahit future pick tapos sign ang team ng free agent.

DON ALLADO, JOHN FERRIOLS, MARK BORBORAN, JAMES SENA, ALEX CRISANO, ROMMEL ADDUCUL, MARK ANDAYA, etc.. they all came from free agency before landing a new team.

  9. jimmy alapag is the heart and soul of smart gilas. the other pba players look more amateurish than amateur players of smart giles. especially williams and taulava. walang reliever si douthit na reliable. alapag should take more three's. he's the only reliable shooter there. deocampo so far is a disappointment. nevertheless, great job.

sir, in a not so serious manner (joke only)... here is one characteristic of DE OCAMPO na malaking bagay sa team..

"As among the seniors in the team, De Ocampo also watches his teammates back.

Apparently in retaliation to Takuya Kawamura’s hard foul sending Jayvee Casio sprawling to the floor, De Ocampo, moments later, hit the Japanese hotshot with an elbow to the face in their game Tuesday.

Kawamura couldn’t get his game going, scoring only 12."

  10. Any updates sa Game so far? Lamang ba Gilas?

changed schedules po.. 6pm ang laban ng GILAS against CHINESE TAIPEI.

1st game IRAN vs. JORDAN.. JORDAN makes an upset over IRAN 88 - 84.

so, if ever, GILAS wins against their opponent... GILAS vs. JORDAN in the SEMIS!

  11. "I think what Victor Ortiz did is unacceptable. A head butt is something for the street and not worthy for a professional boxer in the ring," Marquez told BoxingScene.com.

"And Mayweather, he would retaliate with more street fighting," he added.

He said there will be no shenanigans when he fights Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao on November 12.

"The November 12 fight against Pacquiao will be fair and you can look for a clear winner in the ring," Marquez added.

"The referee says you should never let your guard down, but the referee never restarted the fight. It is controversial what they did," Marquez said.

He believes the bout should ultimately have been marked as invalid.

  12. with siot taking over the reins at the ginebra bench, i expect cervantes to contribute and make an impact.

    ano pala balita kay sena?

nasa line up na ng shopinas.com si sena... just hope bgk won't regret not signing him.

  13. HERE'S AN INTERESTING ARTICLE I'VE READ....

Floyd Mayweather: “To say a guy goes from 105 pounds to this (welterweight), and it’s all natural … come on, man…”

Manny Pacquiao made his pro debut against Edmund Enting Ignacio in January of 1995. He was 16 years old at the time and weighed in at 106 pounds. At 16 years old Floyd Mayweather Jr. won the 1993 USA National Golden Gloves tournament in the 106 pound division.

At 17 years old Manny Pacquiao climbed in to the ring in May of 1996 against John Medina and weighed 114 pounds. At the same tender age of 17 Mayweather captured a USA National Golden Gloves title again, this time at (you guessed it) 114 pounds.

    here's the full article:

  14. my bad! i thought game time is set at 1:30pm...

    6pm indeed!

1:30 talaga yung game... kaso nilipat ng 2nd game @ 6pm.

another issue ng politikahan.. some people na may connection sa gilas eh sinasabing para daw ma-scout ng mananalo sa JORDAN-IRAN yung game ng GILAS if ever sila makapasok sa semis. kaya sila ang nilagay sa 1st game.

  15. Former Great Britain coach and respected commentator Roy Birch has been in Wuhan calling the games for FIBATV – where you can watch all the action from the crucial last three days – and he caught up with fiba.com's Paulo Kennedy to share his thoughts on who will win!

FIBA: The Philippines have been very impressive in the second round, can they make it all the way?

Birch: Possibly yes. It all depends on Marcus Douthit. He tends to have a quiet half and if it’s the first half that’s ok, but if he goes quiet or gets into foul trouble in the second half that spells trouble for the Philippines. He’s quite an athlete. Inside he’s dynamite, he has his medium range jump shot, which we have seen occasionally in this tournament, and he’ll need to put a couple of 15 footers in against the big teams to draw the defender out.

FIBA: The Philippines have shown great speed and athleticism.

Birch: They certainly have, and brains as well. I am very impressed with (Marcio) Lassiter, and that’s why the coaching staff were so keen to get him involved. A bit of a quiet night last night but I am very impressed with him on the rebounds, particularly at 1.88m. The other night he pulled in a couple of rebounds and I thought ‘how did he manage to get that?’

FIBA: Are Chinese Taipei a strong chance to beat the Philippines in their Quarter-Final?

Birch: No, I don’t think so. I love the way Chinese Taipei play, and Korea. I wish we had a few English coaches out here to watch them play. They way they pass the ball is outstanding – the speed of movement and the speed of thought. But they haven’t got the size.

  16. Masters, what time sya pinapalabas sa ACTIV/IBC 13? Tsambahan lang ginagawa ko at parang wala namang kwenta website nila. Ang inabot ko lang kagabi ay game ng China and Japan and syempre di ako interesado dun. Pati replays sked, papost naman THANKS rolleyes.gif

so far, Chris Lutz nalang ang wala sa score cards.. but we can't blame him for that.. his main purpose is to limit the best guards/wing men of the opposing team, and he's doing his job very well.
