  1. I bought a pair of jeans from Zara last month after realizing I hadn't worn denim in years. I usually prefer dresses and skirts—silk, satin, tulle, lace, faux leather when I'm feeling edgy.
  2. I eat intuitively, meaning I don't count calories or follow a specific diet. For ethical reasons, I don't eat pork and beef.
  3. I get up at 6 to go to the gym or take a walk. I like early mornings.
  4. For nearly a decade now, Chuck Palahniuk and Elif Shafak. Maybe it's time to find new favorites.
  5. My brain is wired differently from my friends'. When it comes to sex, they prefer to color inside the lines. Still, I smile and widen my eyes on cue as they share their latest conquests over Spanish wine and hot tapas. There is little room for depravity in such places. But here, my repulsive fantasies are warmly welcomed, and my experiences are celebrated. No topic is too taboo. I think I'll stay for a while.
  6. Stayed at The Reef Mactan last year during a long weekend. While it was a bit more crowded than I’d prefer, everything else was great, especially the breakfast buffet. Danish and danggit, yes please.
  7. I hope more people discover the benefits of Stoicism. It gets a bad rap for being associated with emotional suppression or indifference. In reality, Stoicism is a powerful mindset that helps in navigating life's challenges. While there is a wealth of literature on the subject, my personal definition is that it is the art of discerning what I allow—what I allow myself to think, what I allow to influence me, what I allow my reaction to be, and so on. For starters, Meditations by Marcus Aurelius is easy to read and offers practical applications. Or follow @dailystoic on IG. He distills Stoic principles into bite-sized, actionable pieces, making them relevant and approachable for a wider audience.

  9. Many years ago, to minimize airfare, I would fly from Hong Kong to whichever European city I wanted to visit. Between Hong Kong and Manila, I took advantage of Cebu Pacific's seat sales. Not sure if this strategy still works, especially with the surge in fuel prices in the last couple of years. Now, I just book Emirates. It's among the safest airlines, and I don't need to sit in a plane for more than 10 hours per leg. Pricing of Turkish Airlines and Thai Airways are also competitive, but I steer clear of airlines that still have Boeing 737 Max in their fleet. Qatar Air is great but quite expensive. Etihad operates older aircrafts. To save on food, just grab a sandwich or salad from a convenience store. Tap water in many European countries are potable (check beforehand) so bring your tumbler.
  10. Romanian deadlifts Hip thrusts Bulgarian split squats
  11. I'm a slut for French niche perfumes. I gifted a man I was dating with Parfums de Marly Layton, and he learned quickly that wearing it would get me to bed by the end of the night.
  12. Yea, those are great, but have you tried adding this classic to your leg day queue? Pour Some Sugar on Me - Def Leppard
  13. Hitting balls at the driving range centers me. It prompts me to slow down, quiet the mind, and focus on a single goal.
