Pareho din yun. Nirelate lang ni warhead yung tex noon sa tex ngayon. Funny ako rin, hindi ko nabuo yung X-Men, the Avengers even the Longest day na 58 numbered cards lang gayong there was a time that I had about 2 sacks full of tex. Naubos ko ang lahat ng tex sa buong barangay namin

nagkausuhan din kung minsan yung rubberbands - "laste" we call them. parang teks din ito na pinaglalabanan.

Madaming pinaglalabanan nun. Kung minsan yung mga shell na pinupukpok - patibayan kayo ng dalang shell Tapos yung pinaglalaban yung mga gagambang-pari - yung mga "quarters" nila bahay ng posporo na may dahon na inikot sa loob which serves as the individual spiders' cells

Pag panahon ng salagubang at salaginto pinaglalaban din ito - pagdidikitin ng bubble gum yung mga likod....

Heheh, Teks, complete ako ng Longest Day. All cards I kept in a shoe box that used to house my Spartan high cut rubber shoes.

 

If I remember right, the rules of the game are:

 

1. YOu have 1 "Pamato"

2. You also got out a 2nd card called "Panabla"

3. The 3rd card is your oppononent's card -selected from his deck (usually his own Panabla)

 

 

A bet of cards is thrown in from both players. Hard to count cards so we had to use the "Dangkalan" method.

 

The 3 cards are flipped sideways or upwards with a spinning motion generated from the thumb and forefinger and middle finger. Panalo ka if your Pamato card faces the same way as your Panabla card. Talo ka if your Panabla faces the same way as your opponent's card.

 

Tama ba? Grabe.... so long ago I'm not sure anymore but I think the rules I stated are pretty up close.

Do any of you remember the weekly drama in the '70's "Sta Zita and Mary Rose" ??? May komiks pa nga ito. This program always had a lesson in the end. If I am not mistaken the lead here was Mary Rose Jacinto sister ni RJ.

 

What about "Lollipop Party" on Channel 5 with Maan Hontiveros?

 

And the "bakya" sunday program (precursor of "thats entertainment") Santos, Mortiz and associates... doon ang loveteam nila Vi and Bot, Cora Adajar and Eddie Peregrina, Perla Adea and Romy Mallari, Jun Soler and Raquel Montesa at si Dolly Favorito at Walter Navarro. Remember niyo?

Sa OCTOBER 17 !!!!! Sa show mo STORM... para madami ang kasali...at hindi na tayo mahirapan mag-explain ng rules !!!! Unless...madami rin na mag-"senior moment" doon - physio or in denial walang larong mangyayari...

 

Btw, since may disco yug-yugan na magaganap sa opening mo, siguruhin mo lang na may doktor ha?? in case..

 

Inihahanda ko na ang pagbukas ng alkansiya at kinausap ko na rin ang mga bata na pahiramin ang xmas fund nila sa amin bakasakaling makabili ng small storm. ...in case di pumayag ang explanation namin sa mga bata ay new, and the best "action figure ito" na malapit ng gawan ng movie ng pixar at playing cards Ha! Ha!. Keep the creative juices flowing !!!!

E yung "agawan base" gusto niyo? I saw a group of kids at my son's school playing this. Marunong din pala sila. Some other reincarnations I noticed:

 

1) Teks natin naging Pokemon/Yugi-Oh trading cards - Ngayon sa casino na tayo naglalaro ng cards or sa kanto- tong-its.

2) Trumpo natin naging Bey blades

3) Coca Cola Russel yoyo natin naging - ano ba yung pangalan ng bagong yoyo ng bata ngayon?

4) Meron tayong Pic magazine, (actually sa kapatid ko ang mags, pero nakita ko pa si Annabelle Rama noon na nakahubad. Maganda siya noon) Bedtime stories, mga bastos na komiks na binebenta sa bawat traffic light ) - ngayon may FHM at UNO na ang kabataan.

5) Wala tayong PS2 pero meron tayong Atari tennis at night driver sa Ali Mall. Remember them?

1. no bringing of personal Physical Therapists, Reflexologists o manghihilot.

2. no taking of Alaxan after the games

3. no bringing of Efficascent Oil, Bengay or any other related matter.

4. Management will not be responsible for any broken bones, twisted ankles, or the likes.

5. no lowering of prescribed garter height during the actual run of the participant

Don't forget to bring also jackstone, chinese jackstone (with munggo inside), cat's cradle (intertwining the yarn on the fingers), hulahoop, and the walang kamatayan...jump rope. Kaya pa nga ba???

For the life of me, I can't remember who the other co-hosts in Ms.Elleanous were. I do know that like Maan, they were very beautiful. I think one of them was related to Boots Anson-Roa. I could be wrong.
