this chembook really kicks some ass specially when i saw this:

1.73GHz, 533MHz FSB, 2Mb L2 Cache, 802.11b/g

wth 2mb of l2 cache is like having a built in 1gb of ddr400 mem.

512Mb Memory DDR1 (DDR2 by July, 2005) - i hope ddr2 should be integrated with this powerhouse.

- 80Gb Mobile HDD - 5400rpm or the new 7200rpm? if it is 7200rpm panalo talaga!!!

- 8 cell LI-ION of 18650 size battery pack (14.8V x 4400mAh) capacity - this is a great set of full pack batteries... I guess it will hold up to 5-7hours of battery life. of course it will also depends on the applications you are using.

as for the overall specs....im really impressed.

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm a toshiba user for more than 5 years now with different models. I have no problem so far, it ever meron, they will replace the unit and not the parts provided it is still under warranty. BTW, toshiba laptop is bundled with international warranty, because I accidentally put some coffee before on my keyboards while I'm in London, and they fixed my laptop although it was bought in Singapore. :)

ACER Aspire 2001

1.4Ghz Centrino

512MB DDR

40GB HD

DVD-CDR Combo Slot Drive

Multicard Reader

15.4 Monitor

ang hassle ang bigat, 3.5kgs, Desktop Replacement kasi

planning to replace it with the New Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Series

almost one month na itong nasa ACER Service Center sa PACO

because I bought it overseas, pinagbabayad ako ng 25thousand to replace the problematic Video Board

they were claiming that my warranty already expired based on their records

but I've checked the details of their International Travellers Warranty Card and it clearly stated that the warranty is valid for one year commencing on the date of purchase

with this information, I filed a complaint with DTI and they were forced to replace the Video Board for free

But damned, wala pa sa akin ang Notebook ko

Mine is Toshiba Satellite A25-S279, Pentuim 4, 2.8Ghz, 512MB DDR SDRAM, 60GB HDD, DVD ROM/CD-RW Combo, 64MB Video Memory, 15" TFT Screen, Wireless Lan, SD/Memory Card Reader, with Recovery CD but board was corrode due to water spill! Toshiba Service Center were asking P31,000 to replaced the mainboard! i already brought it to Good Deal Laptop because they do board level repair daw! wala ring nangyari! I bought the notebook in New York City last year, April @ $1,700 or P90,000 + in peso! I dont have any intention of bringing it back to Toshiba since i already got a new notebook with same spec kaya lang ang brand is Sony Vaio. Bigay lang kasi! wala akong ilalabas na P31,000! Sayang lang kasi! Negotiable! i know this sounds sucks pero sayang talaga mga guys!
