compaq 2028 is a nice presario laptop.

that's the silver widescree version, ryt?

i own a compaq V2000. It's practically thesame as the newer 2028 laptop. the only difference i know is the integrated bluetooth, silver cover and maybe a better processor.

I don't have problems with my V2000. Its good for gaming and dvd/multimedia. it has bright and sharp screen on widescreen format. built in JBL speakers. Integrated wi-fi. 5 in 1 card reader. firewire, Video slot, USBs, and a good centrino processor.

Honest opinion, way too expensive. I just bought a brand new IBM notebook with exactly the same specs at around 59k. That is more than half the guy is selling it for you.

Again, just an honest opinion.

Thanks tol Poker, sa tingin ko nga medyo mahal. Saan mo pala nabili ung IBM mo? pwede mo ba akong ma refer dun?

You can buy it anyway that carries IBM products. IBM usually have standard pricing cause they get it from a sole distributor which is MSI/Digiland. I brought mine at ABC Computers. I think they are in Greenhills. They are our supplier for IBM products eventhough I have not seen them.

Hope this helps.

Intel Centrino is really for laptop omputers right? ano ba advantages nito kumpara sa Pentium M?

Intel's Centrino is a technology Pentium M is a processor.

CentrinoTM is the first time that Intel has branded a combination of technologies under one name. The technologies include a newly designed microprocessor, integrated wireless capability (Wi-Fi 802.11) as well as related chipsets and software.

The CentrinoTM mobile technology will make it possible to create thinner and lighter notebook computers with built-in wireless capability, extended battery life and improved performance. These components are designed, optimized and validated by Intel to maximize the wireless mobile computing experience. Personal computers with CentrinoTM mobile technology were displayed recently at the 2003 Consumer Electronics Show, and showed outstanding mobile performance. Centrino-based systems are scheduled to be introduced later in the first half of 2003.

Intel Centrino= Pentium M + wireless technologies built into the motherboard.

It's really just a marketing term. Nearly all current laptops have wireless technologies built into them anyway. Intel just wants to make you think Centrino is a world and a half better than a Pentium M, which it isn't (well, yeah it is better, but not by much).
