Cradle Of Filth will release their debut DVD, "Peace Through Superior Firepower", on November 1 via Roadrunner Records.

 

Compiled by the band's frontman, Dani Filth and guitarist Paul Allender, the DVD features the band's theatrical show, shot in Paris at the Elysee Montmartre on April 2, 2005. Also included is an hour of documentary-style "behind-the-scenes" footage with the band spanning the last three years of the band's existence. It includes extensive band interviews and an insight into life on the road, shot on their recent tours. Special extras include six of the band's sumptuous promotional videos — "Her Ghost In The Fog", "Promise Of Fever", "Babylon AD", "Mannequin", "No Time To Cry" and recent music channel favourite, "Nymphetamine", featuring guest vocalist Liv Kristine (Leaves' Eyes, ex-Theatre Of Tragedy). Also included is a photo gallery and a hidden "Easter egg" piece for fans to hunt out.

SEPULTURA's 11th full-length album, tentatively entitled "Dante XXI", is being recorded at Trama Studios in São Paulo, Brazil for an early 2006 release via SPV Records. The group had previously used Trama Studios to record the "Revolusongs" EP, which contained cover versions of songs from such acts as MASSIVE ATTACK to HELLHAMMER to JANE'S ADDICTION, and was included in the limited-edition digipack version of 2003's "Roorback".

 

Working under the watchful eye of producer Andre Moraes (with whom they've previously worked on various Brazilian film soundtracks), SEPULTURA's follow-up to "Roorback" will be "like a metal soundtrack for a movie, based on 'The Divine Comedy', but making a parallel with the days and situations we live today," says SEPULTURA guitarist Andreas Kisser. The ten or eleven songs that will make it to the finished album are all based on the epic poetic masterpiece "The Divine Comedy" written by Italian author Dante Alighieri in the early 14th Century. The three main components of "The Divine Comedy" are Dante's descriptions of Hell, Purgatory and Paradise. Immortal Records has teamed up with Myspace.com to preview 16 previously unreleased tracks from their upcoming soundtrack for the TV anthology "Masters of Horror" (Showtime) on www.myspace.com/mastersofhorror. The highly anticipated, 30-song double-disc comes out on October 18.
