The Ultimate Fighter: Team Nogueira vs Team Mir, premieres Wednesday night on Spike TV following UFC Fight Night, and if the first episode of the show is any indication, this season should be one of the most memorable yet. geneticfreak
if UFC wants to give him a chance to win..alexander needs to learn the ground game..at least defend properly...or get a relatively known fighter who also doesn't know the ground game.. :headsetsmiley: Easier said than done while competing in arguably the most popular and most stacked (well talent-wise) division in the UFC. LHW. Alexander really needs to make big time adjustments to his fight game cause he is definitely one-dimensional. He is a strong striker that's it, no ground game whatsoever as someone here already pointed out. I'd actually be surprised if the Fertitas do give him another fight. Thanks to Serial Killer for the links. Will enjoy all these vids for sure. Quote Link to comment
Brownman
Agree.I like Houston...but he needs to learn to defend the takedown at least. Quote Link to comment
gooombah
Question, Who was Brock Lesnar's latest opponent? Did he win? I haven't seen him in action yet. His discipline would be Wrestling? Quote Link to comment
Larry
houston alexander is a one trick pony, unfortunately other fighters have him figured out already. It's really tough to be one dimensional in MMA, there's a reason why it's called MIXED martial arts. Quote Link to comment
riceb0i
bye bye UFC for Houston this time... kinda feel bad about him i read an interview on him, he was saying that he was actually pretty good on the ground and that his BJJ was underrated... i guess he really doesn't have BJJ to start with... it's back to the drawing board for him now. geneticfreak
Question, Who was Brock Lesnar's latest opponent? Did he win? I haven't seen him in action yet. His discipline would be Wrestling? That would be the Texas Crazy Horse Heath Herring. And yes he comes from a wrestling background being a former NCAA Division 1 Champion. And yes he did win. As Joe Rogan would put it. It was a 3-round Complete and Total Domination. Edited September 21, 2008 by geneticfreak Quote Link to comment
