Mir will require time to heal after recently undergoing minor knee surgery to repair the damage. He is expected to make a full recovery. There is no timetable for a return; however, the good news is that it could be as soon as this summer. Therefore, the highly anticipated heavyweight title unification match appears to be temporarily on hold — not canceled — for now. Munoz is heavy handed kaya mabagal.... sayang nga at natalo, but looks like he scumbed to rookie jitters and preassure! Hope he can fight again one lose is not enough to boot out a fighter...look @ wnaderlei KO kay rampage pero may laban sa middle weight, so let hope munoz can bounce from this loss. Isa pa tignan nyo nalang yung reach ni hammil... p#ta ang haba! Now it evans vs. jackson evans ako this time although im not a big fan... but i would protest against this fight... dapat machida vs. jackson muna undefeated si machida eh... congrats to vera! Kyle_Rayner Posted March 8, 2009 Share Posted March 8, 2009 Nice to have the old and new Brandon Vera back. Those kicks were ferocious. I hope he gets to have more wins this time. I was rootin' for Mark Munoz but it still is fine by me that Hamill won. Mark has limited striking skills and his hands were low. Unlike Hamill who utilized his jabs and then the vicious leg kick that ended the fight. Looks like Shane Carwin's the next big thing to watch out for. His punch was like effortless. Talk about power. Parang Brock din, you get caught and you're done. Would love to see that matchup. Quote Link to comment
JustSmile=) Posted March 8, 2009 Share Posted March 8, 2009 Poor Mark Munoz.. Im sure he was excited in his UFC debut but that was a really viscious reality check for him.. All I can say about him is poor striking and really bad stand-up ability, he sould keep his hands up and really needs to focus on that cause he has a solid wrestling background.. Division 1 wrestling.. that's legit wrestling.. Hope Nover don't get the same result in his upcoming fight... Btw, nice to see an agressive and angry Vera back in shape..
