rudepnoy4
just watched clips of jackson against silva and rua.......he lost both matches..... rua kneed him in his right abdomen and it seemed downhill from there on....rua gave him a series of knees and when jackson tried to take him down by pulling one leg, rua just pulled his leg out and gave him kicks in the face...referee stopped the fight silva also gave jackson a series of knees and when jackson tried to pull silva's leg......silva pulled it out and kicked jackson in the face..referee stopped the fight it seems that jackson's chink in the armor is that hw has weak defense against knees but it is said at the ufc that jackson's now uses top notchh trainers in his team.....let's just wait and seebut shogun didnt knocked quentin out quentin gave up bec hes ribs are broken i dont care who you are but once your ribs break your done , quentin can take knees he basically had silvas knees for dinner the problem when quentin is he needs to learn how to get out of muay thai clinch Quote Link to comment

SevenZeroFive
last minute changes to this weekend's UFC 72 card.. the Tom Murphy - Jake O'Brien fight has been dropped because of a possible career-ending injury by O'Brien. according to O'Brien's manager Ken Pavia, who spoke with UFCJunkie.com, O'Brien is suffering from a severe case of "stingers", a medical condition originating from the spine. he has had stingers since his NCAA wrestling days, but this time the pain was too much to fight through, so Zuffa & the UFC had to scratch the fight altogether. SevenZeroFive
hehehe si brock nanalo pla, kaso mahina din yung kalaban niya s K1 nung june 3. sana sa susunod accomplished fighter na pra malaman natin kung hanggang saan tlga si brock. ^ exactly.. Min Soo Kim is, in reality, a below .500 MMA fighter, so ndi talaga xa magandang gauge as to how Brock will really fare.. ika nga sa former profession ni Brock, jobber lang si Kim.. siguro in his next fight he can get someone like Edson Drago, Yoshihiro Nakao (although he's under PRIDE), or anybody who sports a pretty decent win loss record.. I hope it pushes thru. PRIDE Rules so Silva won't be at a disadvantage. Chute Box Style^ unlikely to happen na unfortunately.. what i heard kc sa presscon nila Fertitta baka gamitin nila ung Unified MMA Rules sa states for PRIDE, which means UFC rules will apply.. pero it's still gonna be interesting to see how those two will fare after losing their straps.. btw, i read from Sherdog.com na Rampage was "bribed" by PRIDE to lose to Sakuraba when they fought.. bukod sa 10K guarranteed nya, they were offering Rampage an additional 2K to lose to Saku in pretty specific fasion: lose via KO/TKO without tapping out.. Larry
what i heard kc sa presscon nila Fertitta baka gamitin nila ung Unified MMA Rules sa states for PRIDE, which means UFC rules will apply.. pero it's still gonna be interesting to see how those two will fare after losing their straps.. this will soon change...CSAC in california is revisiting it's MMA rules to allow knees to a downed opponent and they're also pushing for all MMA events to be done in a ring instead of a cage. CSAC executive oficer Armando Garcia when asked about knees to the head of a grounded fighter on beatdown today said if the promoter asked for it and the fighters on the card agreed to it he would have no problem allowing it. Cali also in the future wants to move to have all events held in a ring instead of a cage. But he is willing to listen and talk to the promoters if they want a cage. Said soon they will be introducing a new set of rules that will be better then New Jersey or Nevada, and all kickboxing events will start using full muay thai rules. - above swiped from mma.tv this IMO bodes well for PrideUSA Edited June 13, 2007 by Larry Quote Link to comment
