Why This List Exists Metro Manila's luxury hotel landscape has, in the last five years, undergone its most consequential reshaping since the 1976 opening of The Peninsula. Three major reasons: First, the openings. The Westin Manila opened in March 2023. Hotel Okura Manila in April 2022. Grand Hyatt Manila topped out in 2017 as the tallest building in the Philippines. The Lanson Place aparthotel landed at the Mall of Asia. The person in the front desk would tell you you have lots of money, which I really don't have. But yes, lounge access, afternoon tea, night cocktails, free carabao stuffed toy, sweets waiting for you in the room. Great view. Great breakfast. I would say this hotel is really luxurious.
