Duterte's Presidency : Expectations, Controversies, Rants, Etc.

Recommended Posts

Well srp for entry level cars will go up while the srp for the top of the line land cruiser which these honorable law makers and other politicians often purchase will actually go down by jan bec of saving on tax.

And yet tell that to dutertards and they tell you wag muna husgahan. Bakit magbabago ba yun inequality na yan kung manahimik muna?

generally, what i dislike most is that our politicians have no sense of pride. it’s so easy for them to transfer from one political party to another. this has been the norm for qs long as i can remember. i have no respect for such people. maybe it would ne acceptable if there’s a compelling reason to switch sides, but most just do it out of convenience (most probably in pursuit of their own interests).

another thing is that most are ok with being lackeys of the one in power. this is related to my previous observation. this type of politician doesn’t mind ass kissing and would go great lengths to satisfy his “master” no matter how idiotic or disgusting it would make him look. in the end, he will benefit a lot as long as his master is pleased with his actions.

this is just my general observation. though such has been going on for decades, it ssems a lot worse in the current administration.

His presidency also brought out the worse in people.

Our 'honorable' lawmakers and government officials suddenly developed foul mouth syndrome almost overnight, it seems.

Makes me wonder why they still have ethics committee in this administration...

monkey see, monkey do. no wonder people from other countries call us monkeys. lol.

...and we get offended so easily.

The above post exemplifies my point.

The. Worst. In. People.

And yeah, I can say I don’t curse in public, especially when it’s not on an appropriate venue.

Him cursing in his speeches is like you talking with your board of directors and cursing. Because, we are supposedly the people he serve, therefore his boss, right?

^ Kapag kinumpisal mo ba yung pagmumura mo sa "appropriate venue" (I wonder where) compare sa public places may pagkakaiba yun?

Good thing I’m not a Religious person, then. :)

Cursing under my breath is one form of cussing that doesn’t offend anyone, right?

Nor do I curse a lot nor do I curse at a person. Sarcastic remarks, maybe yes. But not cursing his mother. In public. So yeah there is a difference.

If u are a diehard fan towards a certain politician who is in already in power and yet you are still angry and hateful, it means your idol hasnt done much.

What a nice Logic,

Ps. That politician must be a bad ass soo much, that even his diehard haters are forced to use a supporter type forum name. Masking oneself to be a Pro when everybody in this forum knows he is not what he/she says. In short who the hell Is that guy/gal fooling?

@topic:

I expected dutz presidency to have a hard time on economy,

Question how are we doing now?

the poster before me was asking about out economic performance so that's the context. i said the best indicator would be growth rate. positive growth is not good enough, it should be positive and increasing in order to say the country is doing well.

growth rate of what? well, mostly gdp, patents, fdi, etc. these are directly related to economics.

i was referring to poster bolj when he was asking about our current economic status. may i know who you are referring to?

anyway, my take on the current trend is that here people have a tendency to believe in a messiah. imagine if someone very religious finds out that the god he believes in is not real, what will he do? only 3 possibilities: 1. continue to fool himself, 2. accept reality and move on, and 3. keep fooling others.

in this country, the majority are susceptible to religion/cults and showbiz. that's the sad reality regardless of whose administration.

like i mentioned in one of my previous posts (not sure if it's in this thread or another) regarding PH politics, only the players and strategies may be different but it's still the same game with the same rules.

Like what the other DDS said in another thread. To paraphrase: the time of the Aquino oligarchs are up. It’s now time for Marcos oligarchs to rise.

So it’s a lose-lose scenerio. People just like introducing more trouble for themselves.
