MangNyakis
me personally expected ko na lakers will make the playoffs kahit ang gulo gulo ng team nila. 2 weeks before the playoff kasi puro "rest" na ang mga teams except for teams looking for a playoff spot. now Lakers will deal with the Dwight signing problem. will he or will he not.... IMHO he will sign with the Lakers. they can offer more money 30 million freakin dollors more.... and after about 2 years he will be the face of the franchise. (2 years Kobe will probably retire) another reason is that he is recently injury prone he should think about getting the longest contract possible to protect himself. peace! Quote Link to comment
jtaq
End of the era. Kobe is near the end of his career. Who is left? Go Warriors! Quote Link to comment

It was not easy for the laker to qualify for the playoffs ... while "rest mode" na lahat ng teams in the final two weeks, may inside track pa rin ang Utah since they have the easier schedule and the tie breaker. I put the lakers chance to enter the playoffs at 50/50 most. Going into the final game of the season against Houston, they already knew it was a no bearing game in terms of a playoff spot but still battled to get the 7th seed. Anyway, kahit magulo ang season ng Lakers, nakapagregister sila ng 45 wins despite laging may injured sa starters nila. Not bad coz that is the same number of wins that the 5th seed in the East has. DH will do his die diligence in free agency but logically, I agree that DH will resign with the Lakers ... ang laking pera ang pakakawalan niya. Hindi siguro yan aalis unless hindi talaga siya comfortable co-existing with Kobe. Mitch has proven time and again na magaling siyang GM. I think he knows how to deal with DH Edited April 29, 2013 by fatchubs 1 Quote Link to comment
jepoyskieLOVEbianca
I didn't call you out. I replied to your post but I was asking about your anything possible theory. Not about calling you a hater. It's a general statement to all the haters But that's the one you focused on instead of the other sentence(question). sir, i'm not here to argue with you... you comment calling haters as a reply to my post so i presume you are referring to me... so i just made it clear that i ain't one... regarding the second question, what theory are asking me about??? does a given fact need any theory??? anyway, i apologize for not answering your question as I find it so irrelevant to what i posted. peace be with you boss! fatchubs
Injured din pala si Jamison ... he's having surgery on his wrist. Sobrang malas naman ng Lakers sa injury ... kaya na sweep. Di tulad ng Celtics na sinuwerte at di na sweep 1 Quote Link to comment
iggy112
Lakers from all accounts is a well run organization. Dwight will sign up with LA because of that, because of the money, because it's in LA, and because in the end, this is the Lakers. Quote Link to comment
Nash35
Purple and Gold still runs in my veins... With or Without DH12 next season. we will contend for the championship... keep the faith guys.... 1 Quote Link to comment

fatchubs
The Lakers will definitely be over the cap next season ... it's just a question of how much. Has MONEY ever been a issue with the LAKERS? Will it be now considering that the Time Warner deal brings in $200M a year (on the average)? But we can probably see some cost cutting measures. My bet is this wi; be the year that the lakers will amnesty a player and I think it will be MWP. Pau will be an important piece in their summer moves He will be their Plan B if DH leaves, but if they are able to sign DH, I expect Mitch to actively find a taker for Pau. I think if ever, this trade will be critical as it may not only be a "salary dump" but most likely will also include a player or two that could help out this team win at a lower cost. SO the earlier DH commits, the better for the Lakers. I think its not even an issue right now whether or not the Lakers want to re-sign him. The only question is whether the offer will be a Max contract or they want to get a slight discount because his kind of performance this season. So DH12, do you wanna say adios amigos? IMHO DH would not leave $$ on the table specially if it pertains to that additional year most likely at the player's option. Edited May 2, 2013 by fatchubs 1 Quote Link to comment
iggy112
First just a small clarification, Lakers cable deal pays on the average $150M per year.(You can check all these salary stats at Hoopshype.com) LA's salary this season was $100,131,988If they sign up Howard and keep similar level of salaries for the fringe players they'll need to fill up the roster then they'll be around $106M next year. However, the year after that, the ONLY player under contract is Nash at 9M -- in addition to Howard (if he signs up and if Kobe does not re-sign with the Lakers and retires as he has indicated) Which means they will be massively under the cap. So, my two cents: 1. LA can take the hit on luxury tax penalties next year if they want to.2. They're not trading Pau for a player with a long contract unless they see that player as a big part of LA's future.3. If Howard signs up, what will LA do next year? They'll try again with basically the same core cast and pray that Kobe recovers quick enough to be playing at the same level he is playing now by the time they hit the playoffs. Because the reset button for LA is not next year, it's the year after. Quote Link to comment
Mr. Mister
LA championship window for Kobe is closing fast. All deals should take that into account. Quote Link to comment
fatchubs
I think the only long term contract to be given this summer will be that of DH. I believe they would like to keep their flexibility come 2014. Target LBJ by then? 4 Quote Link to comment
