Definitely, it's not the fault of the homeowner's. I'm not sold on this idea of increasing real estate taxes of the homeowners to fund housing projects for squatters. To me, this is an injustice to the 26% of homeowners of QC.

its del de guzman bro. evident enough that the city is still well-maintained just like when it was still under the fernandos' leadership. good thing about del de guzman though is that he has given free health cards to the citizens of marikina, which is a great help especially the under-privileged. di ko lang maalala kung ginawa din yun ng previous mayors namin dito.

Pati ba naman kalye namin na hindi naman major thoroughfare, walang lubak, and makitid lamang ay sukat pataasan ng gagong kelot na ito? Ni hindi nga ito bumabaha kahit nung undoy e pinakealaman pa. In Quezon city naman . . . Mayor Herbert Bautista has instigated when renewing Business Permit one should have a CCTV camera installed in the Establishment. Grabe naman. Although CCTV cameras are cheap in CD-R King pero kahit na, what if the business is Small and does not have the capacity to buy CCTV cameras. I hope he changes this policy.

It may seem extravagant, but I wish they do a complete restoration/upgrade of Manila City Hall. It's such an eyesore and whenever I pass by it, I cannot help but to shake my head in shame...

I once passed through Caloocan and noticed Echiverri's photo plastered on walls, fire trucks, government vehicles, and just about any place where he can gain political mileage. He gives new meaning to the word pachyderm.

Was just wondering if there's such a thing as a mayor who's not involved in dipping his hands in the till and enriching himself using real estate tax collections by the city/municipal/provincial government where he holds reign. I mean, why is local politics so dirty and violent? Is it because candidates eye the mayoralty position as a means to enrich themselves? Hence the motivation to k*ll their rivals?

With regards to the streets in QC being parked on my jeepneys, Manila is also a city where jeepneys park. Sidecar drivers counterflow on a couple of main roads of Manila.

 

Bro I think this happens in practically all the cities in MM. But I'm not going to complain anymore after seeing what traffic was like during a recent visit to Hanoi, Vietnam. OMG if you think it's bad here, you should see how people drive over there. Total chaos. I used to complain how lousy our driving habits were epecially after visiting the US. But after seeing the way people drive in Vietnam, all of a sudden I don't think our drivers are so bad after all!!! He he he. Makes me appreciate living here instead of in Vietnam!

 

I've even seen photos of what driving is like in Bangladesh. Bro I think it's even worse over there than in Vietnam.
