Depression: How To Deal

Iba ang brain damaged sa clinically depressed... We should stop mixing the two. Clinically depressed may be caused by environmental factors like traumatic experiences.

 

Tama! Ang hirap kasi satin, binibigyan lagi ng masamang stigma yung mga taong gusto magpakunsulta sa depression nila. Iniisip komo lang gusto magpatingin eh sira ulo na. Ang di maintindihan ng marami, pag may clinical symptoms na yan, hindi yan basta basta matutulungan ng mga pep talk like "Kaya mo yan", "kapit ka lang kay lord", "pagsubok lang yan". Sakit yan na minsan kelangan resitahan ng tamang gamot.

I was depressed at one point. When my relationship with my partner was shaky. Di ako makakain at makatulog. Wala ako sa focus and it lasted for months. I faced the problem. We both dealt with it. Thankfully, naayos naman namin and hindi na napaguusapan. Prayers din ang nakatulong. Kelangan din may ibang taong magdadasal para sayo. It helped, I think.

Dont fight the process..let it run through you. In time, mapapagod na lang din ang utak at puso mo hanggang sa mamanhid ka na lang emotionally. Once you achieved that "numbness" then that is the time you can truly say naka-move on ka na sa process na yan. Lahat ng tao kailangang makaranas ng sakit bago tuluyang tumibay ang loob.

Realize na sayang ang oras being depressed. But other than that, food, a good workout, happy songs and talking with good friends are great. Depende kung ano ang nagpa-depress sa iyo, do something that makes you feel great against it. Ex. depressed due to having little - no cash = treat yourself to something nice and inexpensive that you like (half a dozen servings ng fishballs and kwek-kwek from a good stall does wonders for me) to make yourself feel, "Ha! I can still enjoy!", etc.

 

Storms pass, nasa kung paano mo lang ito malilipasan. The storm won't pass if you choose to stay in it.
