rockybrawler
Another silly question and with the risk of sounding pathetic... Parang di kasi ako nagagandahan sa looks ng M1911. Hehe! Meron ba 1911 na mejo ok yun looks? What's an M1911 brand na maganda to start with? Try Kimber, STI, Para Ordnance. http://www.kimberamerica.com/ http://www.stiguns.com/ http://www.paraord.com/ Yes, all these guns have authorized local distributors. Hope this helps. miggyE
BRO..its just a start but one's your hook in into modifying your pistol..you will end up into a pistol worth almost 200k. It's worth naman modifying your pistol since its the INSURANCE for you and your family.....sabi nga ng mga PROGUN....it is better to have a gun when you dont need one. For a start...you go on your budget...ARMSCOR 40 caliber HICAP is a good gun thou Philippine made. In fact, Armscor is manufacturing the STI , Tanfoglio, CHARLES DALY pistol for exportation and domestic use. GOOD LUCK AND SAFETY SHOOTING. i agree with sir dogbite, yanzmyk. an enhanced armscor 40 hicap would set you back about 30k including licensing. you could probably spend about 30-50k at first to get it to your liking. you could then work your way up from that. it would still be cheaper than getting a paraord or a kimber... :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment

Meron ba 1911 na mejo ok yun looks? What's an M1911 brand na maganda to start with? Bro..try to check the website of Para Ord ...STI...KIMBER...COLT or try Google search for the 1911 handgun. At first, you might not appreciate it since you are a newbies on handgun, but as an expert advise, most of the handguns used in IPSC competion are all 1911 style handgun. One good thing with the 1911 is that : 1. parts are interchangeable disregarding of brand/model for as long its the same caliber. 2. parts are readily available in the gun store. I compete in International and local competition and I would say, its still the 1911 style handgun are being used in practical shooting. GOOD LUCK AND SAFETY SHOOTING.............. dogbite
@dogbiteThanks for the tip Sir..Any recommended Outdoor range sir within Manila ? . . . I would say, the best out door range in Manila is The Armscor Shooting Range in Parang, Marikina......that is where we usually conduct level 1, 2 and 3 competition.....ammos are readily available of any caliber. They have the ranges for Rifle and Handguns. You can have those friendly homeboys who will assist you setting the target papers, errand to reload your ammo and even buy you snacks. Too bad Im in the States now, I could arrange basic IPSC drill for free to MTC members. One's Im there, lets arrange our practice schedule. GOOD LUCK AND SAFETY SHOOTING. Quote Link to comment

I can guarantee you mga 3 or 4 practice lang natin...your on the track ulit....all you have to do is just follow the basic drill...........dry firing...sight alignment...........proper grip and your already competitive. wish I was there in manila na.... basic drill tip: 1. set target at 5 meters........try to hit ALPHA (8 rounds) ...this is precision shooting..shot interval at least 1 or 2 seconds....IF PERFECT then, 2. same as no. 1....draw and fire.....hit ALPHA (8 rounds)...if perfect 3. same as no. 2...draw and fire.....2 rounds/draw.....double tap ...hit ALPHA (10 rounds )......IF PERFECT.. .......... increase the target distance to 7 meters.........follow steps 1, 2, 3,....and so on. This are the usual drills I did before practicing a course of fire ( COF )....... GOOD LUCK AND SAFETY SHOOTING. Quote Link to comment
