Bars Para Sa Nag Iisa Lang

Steps in eating alone

1. Choose a lively dining spot with food you like that has quick service.

2. Ask for a seat at the counter or bar. In addition to ordering a drink, the bar tender can often show you the menu. It's very common for those eating alone to sit at a counter or bar.

3. If no bar or counter is available or you simply prefer a table, ask the hostess to seat you. Just say "table for 1 please" or "it's just me this evening." Smile. It's ok, they want to serve you and are happy you came. If there is a seat by a performer, such as a piano player, ask to be seated near the entertainment.

4. Engage the waiter if you are looking for conversation. Ask them to recommend a dish or ask about the local weather.

5. Bring a book, magazine, or newspaper to read while you are waiting for your meal. This will put you at ease.

6. Enjoy your meal. When the waiter comes by and asks you how everything is, tell them fine and ask for the check even if you are not finished eating. This way you won't have to prolong the time you sit at the table alone.

7. If you are enjoying yourself, you may try to relax and do some people watching. If you catch someone's eye, just smile.

8. If you get up during your meal before you have finished to use the restroom, let the waiter know you'll be right back so they don't clear your plate by mistake.

9. Pay your bill and tip your waiter and thank the host on the way out. How lucky for you to have someone cook for you and wait on you.

Tips

* If eating alone is terribly uncomfortable, consider the alternatives: invite a friend/coworker to dine with you, order carry-out and take it to your room, order delivery or room service.

* The more casual the restaurant the more likely you will see diners eating alone.

* If you are a woman traveling alone on business and you feel uncomfortable walking out to your car or over to the hotel, ask the host or hostess to escort you or at least keep an eye out for you if possible.

same question. di ka ba magmumukhang pathetic?

Well, I am used to dining alone, going to bars alone, watching movies alone etc. It won't make you look pathetic. Not at all times that there would be someone with us if we want to chill out and have fun. Girls who go out alone looks more independent, tougher and hotter. ;)

there's this place we go to ng friends ko...small place lang, in front of abs-cbn.the name of the bar resto is wicked kitchen.

na try ko na mag drink alone while waiting for them...meron kasing nagiisang table pagpasok mo...the rest of the tables nasa 2nd floor na ...so i guess kung iinom ka magisa ok lang...un bar kasi nila katabi lang halos ng table na un e...and pede ka pa mag smoke...wala ka na kasing ibang table na available sa baba kundi yun ...air con pa!

I used to do this often. May specific araw pa 'ko - Thursday. I'd hang out sa Sidebar sa El Pueblo, Ortigas. Order 3 bottles of RH (kasi walang choice, mas mura pag 3) tapos uwi na pagkaubos. I sit by the bar nood ng TV.

I'd like to do it again sometime soon. Wala lang akong oras kasi daming ginagawa at mga taong kailangan pakilusin. Haaay...
