X-Meng
:thumbsupsmiley: perfect... now I will need more help here since the area you mentioned is a bit far from the Antipolo overlooking area (where Padi's and other bars can be found) and the Marikina Riverpark and on the other side of that is Riverbanks, where you will find dozens of bars too. Let me think, ...........there is Soundstage in Sta. Lucia area.... and they have a couple of bars in the which are frequented by the hiphop teens . I doubt that you'd like it there. Your best bet would have to be Metrowalk or Tiendesitas or Eastwood. Okay guys... we need your postings for the last three areas mentioned. I only know of Bistro Maestro in Tiende. Then there's Bargo Bar. HELP!!!!!!! Thanks for the info, Macy! In the meantime, I will just spend the holidays at home lang. For sure, they will be closed during the lenten season. What to do, what to do? :upside: Quote Link to comment
X-Meng
As for marikina, antipolo is concerned, there is new Dencios inside Riverbank.. overlooking the river and it's soooo cool! Sa may tulay papuntang CALUMPANG pagbaba ng tulay, ok din naman to drink alone, i love PAPA JEKS, kasi mura and super sarap plus they have an acoustic band din but sings hip hop and rnb. Macy, Soundstage is already closed, it was converted into a hotel and casino, that is not being opened yet til now... but soon they will convert it into online gaming den with a cafe according to my insider.. hehehehe! Bistro Mateo is nice as well... before 9pm they have a promo, P300 1 bucket of beer plus free sisig,Every Saturday, they have an acoustic band, who is a pretty singer friend... you'll love it there kasi intimate crowd di ba sk3rmo? Thanks too, Sikret_Prend! Looks like you know the place well there. Intimate crowd ba? Would I be going there alone and possibly go out with someone? :thumbsupsmiley: Will look at these options now. Thanks again! :flowers: Quote Link to comment
DanLloyd
I think most of the bars are closed I'll just stay at home and drink alone while reading FR's here in MTC hehe :mtc: Quote Link to comment

In fact she sings there herself accompanied by just a pianist. Torch songs and old standards are what she's doing now. Great voice, very nice lady and good place. Hangout ito ng mga musicians who sometimes jam with Skarlet. Good place to drink alone since it's very cozy. Name's Ten02 Bar. Ibasura nyo na yung mga Sitti mode nyo dyan because Skarlet's the real deal :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment

pinoyrebel
Nice topic! first post for me. Been in makati for 3 months now, havent gone out much since. but i really love drinking alone, yun bang talagang chill lang and totally unwind na walang hassle just like what i do back in davao. Any suggestion of good affordable places near makati? i stay at cityland area near washington and dela rosa. any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. yung mga places na nde ka magkakaproblema with mga grupong gulo lang ang habol, hirap kasi dun sa mga nadadaanan ko, mukhang puro trouble waiting to happen eh. a good place na pwede kang magisa and/or meet new people lang. this forum has been a good find for me. keep it up guys and gals!!! bods1000
this place got a telephone number? Am not sure pero I can get it for you. The first time I was here was because I was buying tickets for the John Scofield concert several months back (ticket outlet sila nuon) and I ended up drinking alone kasi wala masyadong tao. Skarlet even gets to approach you and chika chika with you since she's really nice - she's one of the nicest persons in musicland with real talent to boot. She gets on stage around 10 or 11 with just a pianist and just sings her heart out. No more of the Put3Ska or Brownbeat shouters this time - just some old, smoky Sinatra and Broadway songs. Very nice to chill out to... If piano mode is your thing, there's a bar at the corner of Morato and Scout Ybardolaza owned by Skarlet (yes, the great Myra Ruaro of Put3Ska and Brownbeat). They're even trying to attract some lunchtime crowd in order to fill the bill. Nothing fancy, but you can bring a date here and hindi ka mapapahiya. Sessions start around 10 or 11. They sometimes schedule different acts on certain nights. Kumanta na dito sina Mon David, Tillie Moreno and some other famous acts which I can't recall right now hehehe... Quote Link to comment
