hydro_chloride
Kung basic lang naman ang needs mo sa laptop like reading email and composing of some documents. Very limited kasi ang mga features nito. Kumbaga you've got what you've paid for Quote Link to comment
lomex32
What is the OS/version of this cutie? a decent auxiliary laptop especially on the go.. but IMO enough for chatting/surfing/mail... will be hard pressed to perform if you have RAM hungry apps or files on board Quote Link to comment

Guest lustfortravel
sounds good.. i might buy this brand nalang... :thumbsupsmiley: i need a laptop narin kasi... i got mine today but in my opinion, its only good as a second laptop because of its limited features. i bought one so that i dont have to bring my precious mac whenever i travel abroad since all my files are there. at least with the asus, i can still stay connected. extrarice3
A nice combo for local working traveller or tourist would be: Asus EEEexternal mini HD (the highest capacity you can buy)Smart bro (or a substitute modem 3G phone) :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment
Guest Leviticus
The webcam is clear po ba?thankssurprisingly, the webcam is clearer than the camera on my neo laptop. I'd say it is at par with the A4 tech cameras. I believe the webcamera on this tiny laptop is 1.3 megapixels but I have to consult with the manual later to confirm it. I've just installed chikka and mozilla firefox in addition to the YM and gtalk clients. hehe.. sa SD card ko na install ang chikka and firefox. oo nga pala, yun ang isang complaint ko on this laptop. ang hirap tangalin ang SD card from the card slot kailangan ko pa ng tweezer to remove it because exaktong exakto lang ang memory card dun sa slot. I don't want to subscribe to smartbro since i have wifi access but there are lulls in airports that i would like to maximize the time by answering emails of clients. I have a nokia 6288 which is 3G i guess - can this work with smart buddy then i connect it with my asus? Edited February 22, 2008 by lustfortravel Quote Link to comment
hushpuppy20
I think im gonna get this laptop instead of a Neo or MSI.... Im the type of gal who's always on the go,and lugging around something bulky would be very inconvenient.. This Asus EEE is perfect for me Quote Link to comment

orionpax
hmmm this ive got to see WinXP in the Asus I just had my asus eee converted to winxp (nanghiram ako ng external dvd drive). syempre tinangal ko ang mga games, calculator, outlook express, and followed the recommendations on the asus eee manual to optimize winxp. I also opted for an office 2000 installation; only MS word, excel and powerpoint. I also installed YM and gtalk client. It runs on Linux OS What is the OS/version of this cutie? The trick here is youve got to install Nokia PC Suite in the Asus , which i think is not compatible with the Linux OS But if you have installed WinXP as OS..its a synch and should work seamlessly Once you have the PC Suite & Nokia cable drivers installed and running, connect your N6288 using the USB cable, fire the modem option/via 3G (3.5 G/HSDPA if you have such a handset).. and you'll be able to connect to the net I've been wanting to inquire about this. Guest Leviticus
hmmm this ive got to see WinXP in the Asusang bilis ng winxp dito sa asus eee since I only use it for browsing and light office work. sinubukan ko nga i-defrag yesterday eh.. hehehehehe. it doesn't. solid state disk nga pala. impression ko nga sa unit na eto ay overpowered siya for my needs (kahit na winxp bloatware na) kung pangsurf, email, chat and light office ko lang eto gagamitin. who knows.. maybe within this year other companies will develop a solid-state disk that can hold a higher capacity. there is definitely a market for these micro laptops. come to think of it.. this is the only laptop that I owned that I actually place on my lap! :thumbsupsmiley: hehe.. come march ay ipapadala ko na etong asus laptop to my gf in abroad. I really really believe she's going to like it. pagkapadala ko maghihintay lang ako ng kaunti for an asus eee next generation model. who knows.. baka maglabas nga sila ng model na may touchscreen Edited February 23, 2008 by Leviticus Quote Link to comment
