eve
i quite for health reasons. i have the cravings and i'm seduced by the smell, and i'm prone to a relapse kasi 1 month pa lang. but since i quit i noticed my breathing's better i can walk longer without panting, i can smell better too (yummy, clean men come to me ), i don't miss the after smoke smell that sticks to my hair, clothes, breath (all the better to kiss me with my dear :*) . i agree that it takes will power. i heard some people take up a sport, i want to take yoga for breathing and flexibility...i feel myself digressing to something sensual . good luck to you...hope you find what works! ichbinjun
The only thing that will work is to have the will to quit and just do it. I've quitted several times ( the longest period being 6 months) but returned to the habit simply because the will to quit isn't strong enough Quote Link to comment

geneticfreak
I'd like to say that from personal experience that a lot of people find it a lot easier to quit smoking once they've immersed themselves in some form of physical activity which requires that they be in the best condition. Case in point, a lot of the wrestlers I teach in UP used to be smokers. Once they started training wrestling and grappling and MMA they were forced to cut their smoking habits. So for the smokers out there who'd like to quit just a simple word of advice. Find something, some activity (other than smoking) may it be basketball, badminton or martial arts or some form of exercise which'll require you to be in the best cardiovascular condition. Of course you have to like the activity too. Quote Link to comment

HighVoltageLover
Look for a hobby that will occupy idle time, stay away from smokers, limit yourself to two cigarettes a day until it you can survive a day without a cigarette. Quote Link to comment
norednoryt
i dont smoke on a regular basis, but whenever im out, its just so hard to resist whether i see aling tindera of sari sari store or mr. street cigarette vendor, there comes the urge of buying and to puff some, limited my self to a max 5 times a month of chain smoking, Quote Link to comment
Pantasya
I believe it's all psychological. Took me a year din to really stop smoking. It was hard but really worth it. Quote Link to comment
gift_of_game
^and that's one key point...more attempts at quitting = better chance of success. of course, different methods work for different people as this still is one of the hardest addictions to break. Quote Link to comment
