Bugatti Veyron
the best solution is to develop the provinces to avoid mass migration here in metro manila.... more business, more schools and more urban areas in the provinces. and here in manila, more roads. more skyways, more trains and fast lanes. I agree with all these points especially the development of the provinces to avoid mass migration to Metro Manila. Quote Link to comment
Bentong Senior
It just shows how unlawful our country still is. Yung traffic laws, time-dependent, pano pa yung ibang laws. Quote Link to comment

Yung traffic laws, time-dependent, pano pa yung ibang laws."When the cat is away, the mice will play." As long as there are no traffic enforcers, many drivers intentionally choose to disregard traffic rules. Such as ignoring the red light. What they don't realize is that the "penalty" for disregarding the red lights could be serious injury or even death. Quote Link to comment
launchpad
dont you generalize everyone as to be stubborn and selfish! its like saying that all luxury car drivers are highly educated and follow rules while those who uses corollas , lancers etc are somewhat lower if you analyze your situation , the philippines and its leaders you are already being robbed without you knowing it. do you even realize why the traffic is so ridiculous? the only thing they do is make skyway or flyovers but do you realize what they are doing, if you take them at the end of the ride arent you paying for it? the question is where does our tax money go? maybe the reason is money but you got to think . . . why does the feeling of everything now requires us to pay is significantly felt? bottom line the govt doesnt have any source of money coming in aside from the peoples tax. Bugatti Veyron
Busy sa Earthquake Drill para pogi si Chairman T. Balak mag-senador When an actual major earthquake occurs, no amount of planning is going to prevent the deaths of 10s of thousands of people. What's the point in going under a a table, covering your head with your hand, etc. when the building you happen to be in is 30 floors up and you're on the 25th floor. If that building collapses, it's just your time to meet your maker. I believe it's much better if the MMDA and other rescue groups are the ones that train on how to extricate trapped people inside buildings who may still be alive. Train them how to use dogs to help locate survivors. Create budgets to procure life-saving equipment thay may spell the difference between life and death. The drill should be done by government agencies. It's enough to inform people of the proper procedures they should take should a major earthquake occur. All these hype about earthquake drills are useless and, as you correctly pointed out, may be designed only to give media mileage to Tolentino should he decide to run for senator. lomex32
We do not have the toys and technologies like Japan and other countries have for earthquake disasters. We barely commissioned the Doppler radar for Pagasa (kulang pa ng stations to date). Rescuing Jessie Robredo took several days, if the U.S. military did not help, I don't know if we found the DILG secretary's body in the deep blue sea. MMDA's task to fix the Metro's Traffic problem, baha and basura is close to unsolvable so no room for papogi for Francis for his senatorial bid. Earthquake drill na lang naisip.Si Leila naman puro Bilibid 19 and celebrated cases ang pa-beauty (also nominating herself for the senatorial bid) All these hype about earthquake drills are useless and, as you correctly pointed out, may be designed only to give media mileage to Tolentino should he decide to run for senator. sandy51
grabe traffic ngayon, ultimo mga kalsada, hukay dito hukay doon.,, hayzIt's election time so naturally we will destroy roads so we can build them again. That way doble bayad. Remember the reblocking of EDSA because it is old? C5 is new but it is also being reblocked - but only in QC and Pasig areas. If the ones who originally worked on C5 did work that was not according ton standard, where are the DPWH filed cases against these people? Kung pede lang mag suggest, there is C6 to build. Makakatulong pa Quote Link to comment

He or she will not have a reason for pogi poi9nts and will not have a friend who knows a friend, who knows a friend, etc. Then we could also hire a Singaporean team whos job would be to police the police.BTW, when Ramos was the President, we purchased a lot of motorcycles for APEC, with the rationalization that after APEC, it will be used for traffic management.; Instead, the motorcycles became escorts for every Pedro and Juan. Will that happen again? Quote Link to comment
lomex32
Not sure about traffic czars, but in Singapore they implement the COE where in a per-determined quantity of vehicles are up for bid to the public. So there will be no overflowing of car population. Also they implement an ERP (Electronic Road Pricing) where they charge amounts on primary roads on prime time (rush hour or specific periods). If we implement such in the country It will have to go through congress and senate plus protests from several sectors in society. Anyone who may raise this idea may loose his popularity. What if we hired a Singaporean to be the traffic czar? bonanas
A couple days ago, umulan sa may Buendia. Wala na halos galawan, I was wondering bakit walang galawan wala namang baha. Umusisa ako nung humupa konti ang baha. Aba walang mga traffic enforcers sa may Buendia-LRT, di naman natin masisi at talagang heavy downpour. On a typical day bawala ang bus drivers mag stop dun, kasi huli. Talagang mapapailing ka na lang, lawlessness talaga ang umiiral sa Pinas. Quote Link to comment
