FF
That's a good win by the Jazz. They did not take GSW lightly knowing that the Bay Area squad is gunning for the playoffs... Boozer should probably make the NBA Third Team at least.. thanks c.l . and a BIG sigh of relief from us jazz fans. the jazz wnet back to their winning formula ... score 100 + , outrebound opponents and have the bench score 30 + points. in the four game losing streak ... the jazz had nada , zip , zero of those . okur suffered a rare off night with 5 points. must be the stress of soon becoming a father ... TidusJanus
what would've happened though if millsap wasn't able to make that 3? According to him, when he got the pass from AK47, it felt like a "hot potato" that he had to throw right away. not the most impressive of wins but it ended their slump so that's good. GSW was a dangerous team coz they're trying to get that last playoff spot in the west...and here comes the Clippers who are also trying to sneak into the 8th spot. Hehehe...your team has got to come in strong and they should not take the Clippers lightly. Quote Link to comment
TidusJanus
now this is what I've been saying. They took the Clippers lightly early in the game. now they're in deep s@%t coming into the 4th. I'm not going to continue watching the game but I'm pretty sure they won't be able to turn it around unless they miraculously hit all their shots and improve their shooting %age to 50. Clips are trying to hold that 8th spot and they need the Ws. Edited March 24, 2007 by TidusJanus Quote Link to comment

clubber_lang
The Clippers needed it more hence they wanted it more... Utah has a comfy lead in the division, right? Who's trailing them, the NUGGETS? Quote Link to comment
FF
The Clippers needed it more hence they wanted it more... Utah has a comfy lead in the division, right? Who's trailing them, the NUGGETS? On the heels of an embarrassing defeat to the Los Angeles Clippers a day earlier, the Jazz bounced back with a crisp and sharp offensive effort against the Grizzlies. Utah dished out 38 assists — just one short of its season-high — on 45 baskets en route to a convincing 118-108 win. "That's when we're at our best, man," said guard Derek Fisher, who had five assists in the opening quarter. "Other than Deron (Williams), who handles the ball 80-to-85 percent of the time, we play at our best when the ball is moving." As usual, Williams led Utah's ball distribution. He recorded his 24th double-double of the season, finishing with 21 points and 13 assists. It wasn't just him, however. Fisher added seven assists, and three other Jazzmen — Andrei Kirilenko, Dee Brown and Matt Harpring — each had four assists apiece. Interestingly, Utah's season-high total in assists, which is 39, came at home to Memphis back in January. On that occasion, Williams dished out a whopping 21 assists to help the Jazz get to 39. Saturday evening against the same team, he had plenty of help. With others also distributing the ball, Utah doubled Memphis' assist total, 38-19. And that led to open shots and made baskets, especially in the first half. "I just think that we passed the ball and we moved the ball," Harpring said. "And we're good that way. If you look at the games and the films of the games, we really play well when five guys are out there scoring and playing, because it's tough for the other team to guard. "When you only have one or two or three guys scoring, it's easy for the other team to guard," Harpring added. "What makes us tough is we run that offense, and anyone can score at any time. And you have to guard five guys out there." Going forward — the Jazz next face the Wizards Monday — Harpring said one of the keys for the team will be to try and duplicate its offensive performance against Memphis. "Hopefully,' he said, "we look at this and say, 'OK, this is how we win. We're good that way."' Notes : right after an embarassing game against the clips ( Tj , CL and HTD ) you fellas are really right. the clips wanted it more and the jazz downright sluggish. they bounced back with a big game against memphis ( wellllll ... it is he lousiest team in the west) . jazz ae now 2-4 over the last six games. and the guess coming to town ? agent zero and the wizards . TidusJanus
agent zero's team hasn't been playing great as of late. i think you'll get another W against them. Just be sure not to let Agen 0 take the last shot if it's a close game. haha Quote Link to comment

FF
Boozer Boosts Jazz Past Wizards ! Carlos Boozer had a Karl Malone-type of night. Boozer, Utah's current All-Star power forward, played like its former NBA great Monday night, scoring a career-high 41 points with 16 rebounds to help the Jazz rally to a 103-97 victory over the Washington Wizards on Monday night. Boozer scored 16 in the fourth quarter. "I picked up my energy and my focus. I started being more aggressive, taking it to the hoop," Boozer said. "For me, I was just in a zone." Boozer, who scored 39 points in an overtime loss to Memphis on Jan. 24 for his previous career high, made two free throws to clinch Utah's sixth straight home win. The last time a Jazz player scored 41 points was Malone on Dec. 20, 2000 against Philadelphia. "Boozer came alive in second half. He took over the game for us. He had just an awesome night," said Deron Williams, who had 16 points and 13 assists. The Jazz clinched a playoff berth on Sunday for the first time since Malone and John Stockton played for the team in 2002-03. "I haven't seen a performance like that in a long time. He was rebounding, defending, and obviously he scored points," Derek Fisher said of Boozer. Gilbert Arenas scored 26 of his 32 points in the second half for the Wizards, who finished 1-4 in an exhausting five-games-in-seven-nights stretch. "We played hard, and it wasn't enough. We've played good teams, and we've played teams that are fighting, and we came up short in all of them," Arenas said. Game Notes : Call them the Comeback Kids. The Jazz have won an NBA-high 16 games after trailing by 10 or more points. Quote Link to comment
