abiakak
open ka account sa BPI.....then after a few weeks o months apply ka credit card, ang alam ko kasi...automatic nila approved ang account holder nila, credit limit is half of your present account.... sa iba naman, basta may statement of account or ITR, employment certificate, binibigyan nila. sa laki ng kita mo 840k p.a., i doubt kung hindi ka nila bibigyan. pero ask ko lang...why do you need credit card with that kind of salary ? why not use debit card or atm for your shopping needs? pag 840k per anum ka di mona kelangan ng credit card, mag debit card ka nalang meron na ko debit card. mababa kasi ang daily limit. 10K limit pag swipe pero 25K naman pag withdrawal via atm. accumulated un. misan kc hassle un. tsaka i don't usually bring money with me. max laman ng bulsa ko e 1K lang. kakatakot na kc magdala ng malaking halaga sa bulsa ngayon. BDO bank ko. savings at checking account (peso pareho). try ko nga apply sa kanila ng credit card. baka automatic approval din. salamat po sa mga reply nyo. need ko pa rin malaman kung paano ko malilinis ung credit status ko. do i just go to PNB and tell them that i want to pay my debt? Nash David
Gold Credit Cards (whether it is Citibank, Metrobank, HSBC etc.) is meant to be a debit card (meaning you eventually settle your bill thru debit from your savings account) so you will not be charged of interest. It is just a way of extending your cash for a month and at the same time earn points for using the card and avail special offered discounts at various establishments. Why pay cash for purchases right away while you can extend to pay it after a month. Just be wary to pay your bills on time and manage your credit that it will not surpass your monthly budget or earnings. It is like getting more value for your money. Di ba Revi Quote Link to comment

NightWingX
Not all the Gold Credit Card is debit card. And I will not want them settle my bills thru my saving account! Thinking the min credit limit is around 200k. And if some thing happen. You saving account will be less 200k.If you want more secure. just apply a local credit card(can't use it in other country and internet). So they can't charge you thru some pron site account or auction site. Quote Link to comment
NightWingX
I alway use my credit card the 1st week after my cutoff day. This will give me almost 2month time to pay my bill. Quote Link to comment
weekdaywarrior69
just recently had my annual fee waived for both my american express main and extension cards - thanks to your tips. i was also gladly surprised to find out later that they have reversed the late payment charges when i overlooked my payment due date. oh i forgot to mention that i also got a free mont blanc pen worth approx. 13k when i got this card in the beginning. zanjoe
Credit Cards are for suckers..... credit is very handy in an emergency here and abroad, when your short of cash you can book a hotel room, rent a car, pay for fuel, book an airline ticket and some institutions will, a credit history is a must Quote Link to comment
grovel
Credit Cards are for suckers..... Why would you say that??? You could get a credit limit amounting to the total amount available on your credit card and it's available to you at 0% interest for up to 84 days!!! I've been using credit cards and i know that some people tend to think that having one is like a free pass do spending as much as you can. With a credit card you could join 0% promos, get points which you could trade for other things and, if ever, someone ever gets admitted sa hospital, just show them your credit card and no questions will be asked. tombone
Credit card is a tool to financial management of spending since the billing will be given once a month and all the bill info is there. Is good for emergency and budggeting. As long as proper and decipline on using a credit card it do more good than harm. Quote Link to comment

Mayor chris
Qutoed from Revi "I think the reason why they keep on disapproving you is that you have not really convinced them on your security of tenure.. Meaning you have not been in your current workplace for a year.. Try applying after your 12th month.. Kasi baka kapag tumatawag sila sa HRD niyo, your HR informs them na kaka-regular mo pa lang.. Kasi di ba may probation months usually ang mga companies.. That is my take.." Sir, I am now 1year on my current work, try ko ulit mag apply for cc, sa tingin nyo maaprove kahit walang akong house phone? by the way yung electric bill namin sa akin naka-name and wala nmn utang, ano po sa tingin nyo? legend_ako
hey guys, nid your advise i had some trouble last 2003 with bpi card. i missed a payment and they charged me interest etc. but i did not recvd the bill statement. i askd them to remove the extra charges and they refused. so i didnt pay the bill. then the interests started piling up and belive me the amount ballooned to over 300k from my actual purchases of 60k. bpi filed a case against me in court. then finally they agreed to remove all other charges if i agree to pay the actual chages.i paid my actual purchase of 60k without any other charges. bpi dropped the case and issued me a certificate of clearance that i had fully settled my balance. case dropped. now my question is this. i dont know why i cannot apply with other credit cards. visa or master. i have my own business and is financially capable.. but i dont know why banks are rejecting my application. can anybody help me?
