Richang
Do not get credit cards if you cannot pay in full amount everytime. You should only use crefit cards so you wont be catrying cash much and maybe earn points in using it. Quote Link to comment
Immortal666
I have 3 credit cards: BPI Petron - lifetime no annual fees. Offers rebates for fuel-ing up at Petron but I hardly use it 'coz I have my car refueled at another gas station which offers cheaper rates for gas. Citibank Mercury Drug - offers rebates for medicine purchased at Mercury Drug. Very useful now that I have maintenance medicines as part of my monthly expenses. Citibank Rewards Card - earns rewards points. My back up card as it has a different cut off from my two other cards. Quote Link to comment

FF
for perks benefits and added discounts . i have a citibank gas card which offers 5 % disc. My metrobank card b4 offered up to 50% discount in five star restos. My american express gives me free access to airport lounges here and abroad where you can have free coffee , juice , snacks while waiting for your flight. my bdo visa gave me an additional 20 % on apple stuff pag may promo. etc etc. also kung mataas ang credit limit mo u can use it for emergency purposes specially when u dont want the additional paperwork and the long waiting time to process a bank loan. I e . i helped my daughter buy a second hand car without the need for a bank loan. In minutes ( literally) i was able to get the full amount over the phone. with that said ... never use your card for availing of a lifestyle you CANT afford. Specially kung pay the minimum amount ka lang lagi. You will DOOM yourself to a lifetime of debt. 1 Quote Link to comment
EricMurphy69
Yes, number one rule with me is to only buy something if I can pay it in full in cash. It just helps you not to carry a lot of cash at hand. The perks / points can be beneficial. Quote Link to comment

I know some banks who give credit cards to their depositors. Baka naman may utang ka sa banko or from a previous credit card which remain unsettled kaya ayaw ka bigyan ng CC? Quote Link to comment

BPI ang payroll bank ko havent tried them, ang tinatarget ko kasi yung mga CC na may airline miles, i applied for the citipremier miles card kasi 30php/mile siya at that time, tas 360k annual income lang need. Not sure why i got rejected, i wish they would say. Quote Link to comment

Magsimula ka muna sa Credit Card na mababa ang credit limit, make sure that you don't have a revolving balance and mainatain a good standing with them. Ikaw na mismo ang oofferan na i-upgrade ang credit limit and mas madali ka ma-approve ng mas mataas na klase ng CC. Quote Link to comment
courtesanhunter
