Just heard "Dancing in the Dark" by Bruce Springsteen on the radio! My other party favorites from the 80s include "Out of Touch" by Hall & Oates, "When the Doves Cry" by Prince and "Eyes Without a Face" by Billy Idol. That was the time when buhay pa yung Eagles Nest sa Antipolo at Breakwater sa likod ng CCP. We used to pick-up girls at Halfway House in Greenhills. Sober up after parties sa Good Ah or Burger Machine!

Towards the late eighties, I was into Rick Astley, Swing Out Sisters and Basia among others. Favorite dating spots included Memories, Rumors, Angelino's, Jazz Rhythms, Cafe Ysabel and The Bar at Manila Pen. Other cafes and bars were beginning to come out along the Adriatico Circle in Ermita. Megamall and the Ortigas flyover were just in the early stages of construction.

I had my first pocket computer, a Sharp PC 3500 with 3.5kb memory which you can expand to 10.5kb. I used to do some basic programming using that old reliable in my UP eng days.

10" floppys for the Radio Shack TRS 80? in school.

5.5" floppy's for the IBM PC XT.

SONY introduced the first 3.5" floppy for a PC.

That's Kid Creole and the Coconuts...the band actually appears in the movie Against All Odds...James Woods introduces the band in the movie...

Kid Creole and the Coconuts also had a minor hit called "I'm a Wonderful Thing" in the mid 80s

di ba ang 80's eh yun din ang kasikatan ng disco music lyk "got to be real", "best of my love"? tama ba ko?

BK....70s yung mga kanta na nabanggit mo...

Disco was still alive in the early 80s but Punk was also the fad in the early 80s...The music scene then drited to New Wave and the 2nd British Invasion.

Heavy Metal took a back seat and plenty of pop acts sprouted...

Dance Music/House Music resurfaced in the late 80s when New Wave was fading away
