Droidz1979
They have to win against the Cavs today after losing to the hawks yesterday.. they missed a lot of free throws in that game as well as lay-ups and they could have easily won that game had their usual defense showed-up. Sayang, natalo pa naman 76ers on that same night tsk tsk Quote Link to comment

Droidz1979
Gland the Knicks responded with a win against the Cavs tonight with a score of : 91 vs 75. This was an ugly grind-it-out game that was full of turn-overs for both sides. Good thing JR Smith showed up at this game to top-score with 20 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assist and 5 steals. The downside for this is that you live with some of his bone-headed plays like shooting contested 3's with soo much time on the shot-clock and pray that it goes in (got in tonight but not the other night on their loss to the hawks). Another one on the fast break, he could have passed the ball to Melo but opted for the double clutch backside dunk where he had an injury scare as he seem to be limping on the way to the dug-out. This was also the same night that it was announced that J-Lin didn't have a sore knee but a tear that would require surgery and could mean an end for the season for him. Melo followed with 19 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assist and 1 steal while Chandler again had a steady 14 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 blocks while Iman Shupert had 10 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assist and 5 steals. The bad side is that the Phillies won over the Hawks, the good side is that the Spurs are leading by 11 against the Pacers and Memphis is leading by 6 against the Bucks. The Knicks not only need a win-streak but a losing streak against the team's that are bunched closely in their division and conference. Amidst all the injury curse, Go Knicks! Quote Link to comment

junix
big win by the knicks against orlando. NY now 2 games up on the bucks for the last play-off spot. next game against the bulls will be very crucial. Quote Link to comment
Droidz1979
Great time for Orlando to self-destruct, before facing a New York team that was eager to bounce back from that 4th quarter collapse in Indiana wherein they allowed the Pacers to score 40 points in 4th quater alone after being down by double digits. Here's the video of the Stan Van Gundy interview before the game were Stan confirmed that Howard wants him fired only for Dwight to suddenly show up in the interview not knowing that he was the very topic... awkward! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y08gvGpGCwA Thanks to all this Dwight-mare, the Magics folded immediately and kinda handed the win to the Knicks. Go Knicks! Quote Link to comment

Droidz1979
such pessimism for the supposedly Knicks fans And they just toppled the top seed in the eastern conference (Chicago Bulls) at MSG with D-Rose playing after quite a hiatus with the score 100 vs 99 in overtime. Carmelo topscored and carried the team this time with 43 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assist, 1 steal and 1 blk. He scored the tying 3 with 9 or was that 11 seconds left to force OT and took the last 3 to win the game. Shupert had 15 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assist and 4 steals while JR Smith led the bench with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assist, 1 steal and 1 blk. Landry Fields also had 10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assist, 1 steal while Chandler only had 8 points, but a monstrous 16 rebounds (1 critical offensive rebound that led to a Melo lay-up and the team being down to 5 while having the momentum), 1 steal and 3 blks. The key down here was defense as they were able to make the stops as they were down by 10 with barely 2 minutes of the time left in the fourth and had their comeback to tie the game and force an OT. They were also down by 4 at OT until they did not allow the Bulls to score again. In a way their downfall was the 3rd quarter where they scored 30 while the Knicks managed to score 16 only. By the way, with things going on it looks like the 76ers that are in danger of missing the play-offs as they are currently in the funk right now. They just lost the division lead to the surging Celtics who is just 2.5 games ahead of the Knicks while the 76ers are only a game ahead with the same wins as the Knicks but just had a 3 game losing streak and am hoping that Boston steal a win against them today for the tie with the Knicks. The Knicks is also ahead by 1 against the Bucks but they have the luxury of playing most home games against scrub opponents. Guess we just need to have some faith to the guys and that barring any injuries, Melo would be able to carry the team and Amare will be back prior or early in the play-offs. Go Knicks! junix
gutsy win by NY...and a big-time 3 point dagger by melo. 5 wins, 2 losses without amare and lin. knicks will give bulls or heat a run for their money (if ever NY gets the 8th or 7th spot). 3 games behind the Cs. can they still get the 6th seed? SaintPeter5858
Congrats to NYK! Quote Link to comment
Droidz1979
The only "seemingly" sure top seeding in the East are the Bulls and the Heat while in the West are the Thunder and the Spurs, the rest of the 6 spots for the play-offs are actually up for grabs. Had it not for the comeback of Orlando in Philadelphia, they were in a bad slump. Technically speaking, the Knicks still has a chance to move up that is if they handle the Bulls on the road and Miami at home (i think) while capitalizing games against scrub teams like the Wiz. However for them to go deep in the play-offs, they'll definitely need a healthy Amare back and hopefully J-Lin also as Boom Dizzle just is very erratic and battling injuries of his own. Melo can't carry this team on his shoulders by himself the way J-Lin did on their Linsanity win-streak as it cost him the injury with the condensed season. Somehow, their depth is helping them so far as well as their seemingly consistent D. To the true blue Knicks fans, their will always be hope Oh, and I hope Dolan will not be the jack-ass to re-hire Zeke now that he has been fired from the collegiate Florida team that he handled for 2 years with the same miserable record when he handled the Knicks ages ago. I know he's all talk and broken promises but Dolan seems stupid enough to fall for them while the rest of the world know's the reality of it all. I guess the transition for NBA greats to the front office is not a guaranteed thing the way Jordan is handling the Bobcats. Go Knicks! Quote Link to comment
