twisterfries
Mas iba parin ang comforts ng bahay kesa sa condo. It's pretty liberating now that I live in a condo pero in the long run, house & lot parin. Quote Link to comment

iggy112
I think if you can buy a house and lot at the same location as condos with the same security then obviously you'd go for the House (assuming you can afford it) But there's a few more realistic considerations. 1. Very hard and very expensive to buy houses in the "middle/business centers" of the city i.e. Makati, Ortigas centre etc. To get good location, you sacrifice getting a house and lot and get a condo instead.2. For individuals and families to love to travel, the extra benefit of a condo (at least a well managed one) is you can just pack up and leave anytime, without worrying about the security of your home. Personally, i bought a house and lot but sacrificed a bit on the distance, and drained my savings for the cost.My brother who currently rents at a condo walking distance from his office can't get over the convenience of working so close. Now that he's looking to buy a house, he's mainly focused on looking for condos near his place Quote Link to comment

RED2018
Almost done with condo payment but of course would want to buy my own house too, soon. It's the opposite with me: I built my house on early invested lot (and has since been paid), and now invested on a condo unit .Owning one than the other has its own advantages and downsides.
