The PLDT Complaint Thread

I applied a PLDT Postpaid Landline last March3, 2006 at their Office in Espana, Manila. Luckily, my application was approved and asigned a PLDT Landline Number on that day. Since I prepared to have it installed on weekend, since WALANG tao sa bahay namin during weekdays, I was told that it will be installed on the following days, either March 4 or March 5.

Pero, lumias ang weekend ng hindi na-install ang phoneline I tried to call their HOTLine and I was informed that my Application was brought back to Head Office due to PhoneLine Number Assignment, and wala silang timeline kung kailan maaayos.

Last week, I call again the hotline, same status pa rin. Walang nakakaalam kung kailan, in one conversation, may isang operator na nagsabi sa akin that "sir, this really happens, and it beyond our controls"!!

What Im asking is, kung kailan kaya ako makakabitan ng Phoneline? Bakit walang masabi sa akin ang mga Hotline Operators kung ilang months/days ba nare-resolve ang mga ganitong issues? Diba Commnucation Company sila?, Bakit hindi sila marunong makipag-communicate sa mga would-be subscriber nila?

AT KANINO AKO HIHINGI NG TUOLNG PAG SINABI NA ITS BEOYND OUR CONTROL!!

Lesson learned... never ask for help from operators... because they really cant do anything other than forward your concern to somebody else... that is... if they really do their job... you might wanna go back to that branch and ask for a manager to help you out...

PLDT is prioritizing Line/DSL applications first because they're pushing broadband use and they want to dominate the market...

im a PLDT DSL user. tech support reps suck and cant be considered tech support reps at all! they dont know a thing about DSL and computers. laging spiel nila eh yung "optimize browser, baka virus/spyware yan" kahit na same prob persist on another known good pc. lahat ng dahilan eh computer mo ang sisisihin. buti na lang DSL tech support din ako (outsourced nga lang) so di nila ko magogoyo. hehehe! had a lot of bad experience with their tech support and there came a time that i had to ask for a supervisor. ang ayos lang dito eh yung sa collections dept. nila. talagang mabilis pa sa speed of light kung makatawag at mangulit about your bill.

thats PLDT DSL for you. hehehe!

To: Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT)

As someone already mentioned, profit is the main fuel of companies, actually that is why their people ventured into entrepreneurship at the first place. It is sad that there exist companies (on this petition's case, a fairly large on in our country) with an absurd balance between customer satisfaction and their big fat income statement.

I am a subscribed PLDT myDSL customer, I am not happy at all.

A lot are, they go through many pains with this company, one of which is that you’ll almost never get to talk to their technical support people who on the other hand, will disappoint you since they don’t help at all. I think I speak for everyone who’s working late at night for a critical research they have to submit tomorrow, but due to the bad administering of this company’s broadband service, it won’t happen.

PLDT myDSL or Vibe, everyone has complaints that back up against each other, this is just too horrible.

PEOPLE NEED TO STAND UP, bad enough that there are ridiculously long BBS threads among most Filipino “tech talk” sites about the said services.

This protest aims at combining all those into one direct complaint against the company.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

I have pldt dsl.I accidentally reset the modem. Before i was connecting using winxp broadband dialer but now the default gateway has accidentally got configured so everytime i use my broadband dialer i am getting error 678. I tried to delete and create new broadband connection but that didnt help.So I tried to access the GUI of the router.I was able to configure the pppoe on the router but i noticed that i can't access some websites and I don't like it on the GUI.I want it back on my winxp broadband dialer connection! I called DSL tech support but they told me that they would send a technician to reconfigure the modem. They could have just done it over the phone with me! but the stupid operator said that he is not allowed to teach me the steps on how to cofigure it.I tried resetting the modem again but that didnt help.I tried selecting the "bridge"option but that didnt help. Can anyone pls help my broadband dialer connection back? thanks

it seems like pldt changed their dsl login procedure so i now have to login on a webpage. i can no longer have my router dial up and sign in. it's very irritating because that means my PC has to be on all the time for me to use the router for wifi surfing on my PDA.

maybe the intention was to prevent internet connection sharing. who the hell knows. but if anyone knows a workaround to this, pls share naman!!! :)

hmmm strange.... i just hook my my wifi DSL router to their Zyxel DSL router. Configure my wifi router to have the IP address assigned by PLDT, and set my Wi-Fi router as a DNS. hook all my wired PC to the Wi-Fi router using the 4 lan ports and viola...... even without the PC for as long as the two routers are active i can surf via Wi-Fi

PLDT CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!!!!! I tried calling them but they wont troubleshoot over the phone! they said they will dispatch a technician out.I was just asking them a very simple question about the modem/router settings and they couldnt answer me!

The reason is just very simple. They don't want you to know they configure thier system. Its thier way of preventing unauthorize access.

are you on a residential or a corporate account? if you are on a residential account like i am, sooner or later they will change your login procedure. it's part of the switchover to the IP-based NGN infrastructure. the new procedure is that you have to login on some cisco webpage.

when i try to login with my router, i just get a message that it cannot obtain an IP address. so much for that...

according to customer service, the only way for me to login with my router like before would be to upgrade to a corporate account which is more expensive and slower than what i currently have (2mbps).

i just re-read your post. you are on a corporate account. that's why PLDT has assigned you a static IP address.

my account now costs 3k a month for 2mbps. according to PLDT, if i want a static address, i have to upgrade to a 4k+/month plan @ 1.6mbps.

the added cost is that you have 5 static IP addresses and 5 pop3 email addresses

he could probably have a business account w/ static i.p. and since he have connected he still have not shut down his router. Your right, w/ the system, everytime their server detects another hardware you'll get re routed to their webpage for login.....same w/ smartwifi....

One way of getting around it is using a switch instead of a router and asssigning one p.c as server... that how i did it in our network... hehehehehehe...

I'm an avid user of WiFi in those starbucks and seattle's best coffee shops and I think it's ok. Now here comes PLDT Weroam which promises wireless internet access anywhere anytime. Have any of you tried this service? How is it compared to WiFi in terms of speed and ease of access?
