revi
An article presented in nba.com today about the Nets' Vince Carter entitled.. TIME TO STOP VIN-SANITY AND DEAL CARTER It says it all.. Looks like Vince would be parading a new uniform once the 2007-2008 season starts.. Let the drama continue.. clubber_lang
If the Bobcats happen to agree, which is kinda unlikely, maybe the Nets simply trade Vince for a Top 3 pick in this year's draft... That could change their fortunes... Quote Link to comment
willow_boy
NETS bow out of the playoffs... I'm not about to make any excuses... the CAVS brought it to the NETS and our team failed to rise up to the challenge. Jason Kidd had 19 points 12 rebounds and 8 assists in his final game for this season. :thumbsupsmiley: I'm just wondering why Lawrence Frank opted to bring Kidd out in the minutes bridging the third and fourth quarter when NJ was making a run? <_< But that's water under the bridge. I'm still a proud NETS fan and will always be a fan of Jason Kidd. Now, on to the next season! Here's my wish list: 1. Please, please, get Jason Collins out of the roster.2. Trade Vince Carter for a big-name and productive post player.3. New coach!4. Keep Kidd, Jefferson and Boki Nachbar happy.5. Keep Moore and that rookie Williams in our roster. When will Nenad Krstic heal up? <_< Thanks for a great season NETS!I'll be rooting for a CAVS-JAZZ showdown, though my mind says it's gonna be a SPURS-PISTONS part 2! GO GO NETS!!! I agree with what your mind is dictating, Pareng Legionnaire. I think it's going to be a Spurs-Piston series for the NBA Championship. The Pistons powered by a Billups-Hamilton backcourt and a Wallace-McDyess-Prince combination in the frontcourt would be too strong and lethal for the Cavaliers. I'll be rooting for the Pistons so that the NBA Championship goes back to the East. :thumbsupsmiley: Edited May 20, 2007 by willow_boy Quote Link to comment

Damn, that was a great game by the CAVS! Losing by only 3 points... but then, a low-scoring game favors the PISTONS. Quote Link to comment

Eddy Syet
Jason Kidd added to the USA Basketball Men’s Senior National Team program http://www.nba.com/news/usa_basketball_men...ht_players.html Jason Kidd has played for Team USA before. It's only fitting that he be included anew. Though a little advanced in years as compared to the younger players in Team USA selection, he has proved during this season's playoffs that he is still far from being a normal player. Well, he just averaged a triple-double in the two series he's played. Another feather in Jason Kidd's cap! :thumbsupsmiley: Sigh!... I wonder how he'll be able to get a championship ring... Eddy Syet
The NETS will make the 17th overall pick in the draft this year... I wonder who they've got in mind. Hope there would still be serviceable big men by then though it's gonna be a long shot. Or maybe they should trade their draft pick along with Vince Carter for an All-Star big man? What do you think guys? Quote Link to comment

peep_tom
Jul 1, 2007 4:51pm ET Report: Carter Agrees to Contract With Nets ESPN.com writes, "Vince Carter apparently is keeping Vinsanity in New Jersey. The Newark Star Ledger is reporting that Carter, who opted out of the final year of his contract which called for a $16.3 million salary next season, has agreed to a four-year, $61.8 million contract with the Nets. The contract with the team holds an option for a fifth year." Quote Link to comment

Eddy Syet
Whew! It's good to be back! Well, another NBA Season is about to start and as a NETS fan, I wouldn't say I'm NOT optimistic about our chances this year. Sigh... I posted my wish list at the end of the Nets' campaign last season and well... some of the more important concerns were not addressed by the management. Here's our team's rostr as off today: F-C Josh Boone - he showed some promise in last season's playoffs. hope he'll keep it up!F-G Vince Carter - he stayed. hope he delivers this year F-C Jason Collins - ho-hum! C Mile Ilic - his value still remains to be seenG-F Richard Jefferson - please stay healthy...G Jason Kidd - King NetC Nenad Krstic - he's back! let's hope he'll stay healthyC Jamaal Magloire - we needed a big man. who am i to complain? better than JC, though.F Bostjan Nachbar - after last season, i'm excited to see him play this year!G-F Bernard Robinson - injuries hampered his progress last season...G Marcus Williams - he's got game! time to shine, kid!F-C Sean Williams - the only rookie in the line-up. we'll see if he's worth the draft pickG-F Antoine Wright - he's supposed to be "good." dunno what happened. Head Coach - Lawrence Frank (again?) I'll be cheering you on this year VC 'cause I have no choice... show us something, man! GO GO NETS!!! Quote Link to comment
Eddy Syet
Nets' Kidd 'the man' when it comes to U.S. hoops success http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/arti...6/1088/SPORTS04 excerpts: Kidd is also the only member of the team with an Olympic gold medal (2000) and is a perfect 28-0 in international competition (including the 1999 and 2003 qualifying tournaments and the 2000 Olympics). "He threw one alley-oop pass to me one time and I didn't even realize I was open, but he saw that I was," said Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers. "Playing with someone like Jason is every player's dream." :upside: Carmelo Anthony, the U.S. team's leading scorer at the world championships (19.9), said Kidd's addition to the team "makes a big difference. We have to be on the same page as he is, because he is always two steps ahead of everyone else," said Anthony. I will cheer on the US in their quest to regain basketball supremacy only because Jason Kidd's with them! :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment
clubber_lang
I think they should consider the JO-RJ trade. The Nets' window of opportunity rests on the hands of Kidd and if hecould be partnered with a post threat like JO, the Nets could contend against the East powerhouses... Quote Link to comment
