nilagay ko yung XP cd ko tapos sinunod ko yung repair procedure

stopped to protect your computer (or something to this effect)

 

disable or uninstall your anti-virus, or utilities to check for hard disk corruption. then run CHKDSK/F.

 

then may mga codes: stoped ******......##### *****

Damage na yung isa sa mga system files mo..

You need to repair or replace it..

If you are that technical, you canuse the Recovery Console of Windows XP disc to copy a new CONFIG to your computer..

But if you're not, just run a Repair Installation to replace the existing Windows Xp of your computer with a new one..

You dont hace to worry coz none of your saved files will be removed nor deleted..

 

1. Insert the Windows XP Installtion CD and restart the computer

2. Press any key when you see the message "press any key to boot from CD"

(Make sure that your boot device priority is set to detect CD first before HD)

3. Press "Enter" to enter setupp

4. Pres "F8" to agree to the trems of agreement

5. Press "R" to run a repaitr

6. Just follow the instructions that wou will see on your screen..

last nyt ang dl lang ako ng security patch ng windows, yun lang yung last na ginawa ko before turning it off.

 

sometimes, a security patch does more harm than good. and by the looks of it, ganito ang nangyari sa iyo.

just have your win xp cd ready, and have your os repaired.

 

or as the previous post, try to boot in safe mode, and restore your system before your applied your downloaded update.

during boot-up, wala syang beep tones e... normal naman ung hard disk kc wala naman akong naririnig n abnormal sounds... tsaka totally black out talaga, ung screen and continous ung ilaw ng busy LED...

baka lumuwag video cable mo, usually black ang screen and blinking ang monitor led if this is the case. if okay naman ang kabit, try using the monitor in another pc, or another pc with your problem monitor.

i checked the monitor, video card and all other parts from other motherboard/processor... ok naman. yung motherboard at processor ko lng talaga di ko ma-check because all of my friend's mb/processor's are intel...

MSI KT4AV Motherboard, Athlon 1.8

 

Here are the symptoms

 

1. It started hanging around 3-5 times

2. After one of those hangs, Windows is starting(Windows logo, progress bar, black back) it now reboots evertime

3. Then, when reformating/reisntalling Windows XP...PC doesnt not respond to PS2 mouse movement...cant complete reinstallation because it goes back to #2

Check connections of IDE cable or SATA cable

Try to check RAM, reseat RAM

Perform error checks on HDD, scandisk, defrag

Reseat all peripherals on computer like modem, lan card, video card, sound card, any add on cards attached to the computer

worse might be a motherboard issue..

check mo sa device manager kung detected ang driver mo nung optical drive (dvdrom/cdrw) assuming may burning capabilities yun optical drive mo....

 

ano age nung optical drive? baka mali yun drivers na nainstall.... worse case scenario baka sira yun lens nung pangburn....

if under warranty, dalhin mo sa vendor...

check your display settings. set it to a lower setting.
