ROTC/ CAT - I

During our CAT tactical inspection, when we were all dressed squeaky clean and naka-formation sa school quadrangle, biglang umulan ng malakas at naligo ang buong unit namin nang 'di oras. Kaya change of plans. I was instructed by our commandant to lead the whole unit (I was the corps commander) in a 2-kilometer march, still dripping wet in our uniforms, to the annex building where we continued with the rest of the events (like the M1 Garand assembly and disassembly, map-reading, etc.).

pero ngayon wala nag ROTC eh NSTP na po...well tapos na ako dun I and II more on community service na sya....

attended rotc/cat once .. only on the first day .. to show my ACR .. w/c was bullsh!t.... i was born in th phils .. as far as im concerned im filipino.... but i couldnt iomagine waking up at 6 am on a saturday after partying at mars and faces the night before.. yeah im that old

CAT 1

 

Dapat 30-ish to 40-ish lang sa isang flight namin (Air Force kasi humahawak sa amin) pero may mga nakisama so naging 50-ish kami. Nakita ng Adjutant tapos tinanong 'yung officer namin, "Ano 'yan?" "Ser, flight po 'yan." Tapos pina-carry on lang kami. Later, pinagalitan kami tapos pinag-push-up kaming lahat sa flight. We got off easy, our officer had to do 100.

 

Pati 'yung hot na lady officer na tumulong sa amin noong rifle cleaning, 'di ko malimutan.

Well, Our only choice if we remove ROTC is to get have the citizen-soldier as what the ISRAELI DEFENCE FORCE conceived. All young male ages 18 are mandatorily required to serve the military for a year. Singapore also adapted this principle of citizen-soldier even the U.S. Government during Vietnam war used this concept wherein they drafted 17 and 18 y/o or even those who dropped out of college to become soldiers.

 

We cannot forsee our future? There might be World War IV lurking in our midst? World War III is NOT fought in one battleground but around the world against AL QAEDA terrortists and operative worldwide.

ang saya ng CAT days ko way back HS... so many unforgettable experiences.. :thumbsupsmiley:

 

lalo na nung training days namen na nagstay kame ng 2 nights sa school...

 

sa loob ng training daming ngyayari...

 

pero eto ang nakakadiri isipin, magmumog ng laway ng mga kasamahan ko... waaahhhh... eeewww...

 

ganito kasi yun, may isang baso ng brandy tas iinom ka pero ibabalik din syempre kasama na laway dun, at 3 beses pinabalik sa loob ng 15 katao... ung panghuling ikot, pota! taas na ng bula at wala ng lasa ung brandy puro na laway, slimy na habang iinumin mo... :boo:

CAT during 4th year high school is the best. Being an officer is quite an experience especially when leading a large group of cadets/cadettes.

i was reprimanded by an officer, then ordered to crawl like a worm, without using my hands, for half a kilometer in the mud sa freedom park

Balita ko ibabalik daw ang ROTC. For sure maraming aangal dito. Para sa akin ayusin na lang ng military ung gusot nila sa loob para maiwasan ang coup kesa ibalik itong ROTC.

hmm... i do believe when we were cheering and jeering the officers while they were running after activists who wished the abolishment of the ROTC program as a result of the student who died (the one shown in SOCO poor guy) anyway we all went wild ran out in the field and left them dry,

During my HS Days, I had long bangs.. and I hid it by using gel and pushing my hair back.. Para clean cut pa din ang itsura.. Hindi naman ako nasisita ng Discipline Officer or ng mga teachers.. But if I don't use gel, sasabog ang buhok ko dahil sa haba ng bangs ko..

 

Most of the Officers in my schools' CAT are my friends.. And they usually tell me if there would be an inspection (hair, nails) in the next CAT session.. They also inform me kung wala.. Kaya naman if there is an inspection I wear gel but kung wala, haha.. hindi na ako gumagamit dahil naka-cap naman kami..

 

During one flag ceremony, one cadet (I dunno who) said when he saw my hair flying around.. (coz you have to remove your cap during the raising of the flag).. "Tanginang buhok yan.. Bakit yan pwede?" The officers did not mind him.. haha.. Kasi nga naman friends ko ang mga officers eh.. Pati yung Corps Commander.. bwehehehe.. :thumbsupsmiley:

It was a Marian Procession in Intramuros and we as the Model Batallion of MIT (Men with Irresistable Testicles) were coerced to stay and participate in the procession. As a batallion commander, I was obviously asked to stay along with only a platoon while the rest were allowed to go home. Before the procession starts, the beautiful girls of Colegio de Sta. Rosa (beside Letran) went to form a line along with their totems bearing the various titles of Mary. The totems were made of antique wood and seems heavy for the girls to carry. The organizer (I think it was Fritz Infante) requested us to carry the totems for the girls and walk beside them for the whole procession. My platoon's initial dismay of not leaving early was replaced with a big smile that almost reached their ears. We had an opportunity to have a light chat with the girls.

 

An adversary that was turned into an opportunity.

ROTC: almost perfect attendance, then for the final event, I was not allowed to attend due to "unshaved mustache". because of that, I was forced to attend up to 3 make up classes, pay for extra sessions, donate blood or look for donor and attend stupid activities.

Ranger training. Nung una masaya kami kasi wala ng haircut wala ng formations at wala ng martsa martsa. Yun pala mas parusa kasi puro PT naman at may ranger stations pa. sa 5th pa lang nagsusuka na marami sa exhaustion

pinareport kami nang 0500H. pagkatapos ng 500 push-up (walang tayuan) tumakbo na kami (mga 0530H) tuloy-tuloy ang takbo hanggang gusto ng mga officer. pinagpasa-pasahan kami. natapos kami 1300H. nagsimula kami lima, natapos kami tatlo. kinarga ko pa kasama ko sa gitna para lang makatapos.

Gawin ba namin kaming 10 na parang diorama ng crucifixion ni Kristo. Walang galawan sa gitna ng ulan. ako si virgin mary. yung g@g%ng officer nilagyan ako ng belo tapos nakatunghay ako sa kasama ko na gumanap na kristo. nakapatong siya sa bench habang naka-dipa simulating being nailed in the cross.

 

tawanan kasi kami ng tawanan habang sa formation. paano yung tangang officer na isa pa. salita ng salita sa bullhorn na sira. labas ng boses nya parang si ramon zamora na ginagaya si hitler. :mtc:

tuwing tumatakas at tumatalon sa bakod ng school namin tuwing may CAT. hahahaha!!! tapos pagtalon namin sa bakod ng school andun na kami sa likod ng restaurant sa tabi ng school. tatalon uli kami ng bakod at makikipaghabulan sa guard at sa aso habang tumatakas!!! heheheh... mas masaya pa to sa CAT!!! hahahahaha!!!
