Just being part of the competing units during my CAT in Don Bosco Makati and ROTC in UP Diliman stints was quite something. Masarap na mahirap ang magcompete. Just the amount of time and effort put in is quite incredible but its all worth it when you win.

Kaka forever! mwehehehe

nung h.s. pmt i was a cadet officer... i reached corps S-2 lieutenant colonel...

nung college rotc i was the Cadet Master Sergeant, Military Police platoon leader... hindi na ako nag officer nung Rotc for the ff. reasons:

1.) I personally saw the corruption of some Rotc officers...

2.) Daming responsibilities, saka alam ko di ako magiging masaya coz of the corruption.

3.) Yung mga cadete & officers pag Sunday from 8am-12noon nakabilad sa araw, kaming mga MP nakalilim lang, nagbabantay sa gate at nagpapa-push-up ng late na cadete... hahahaha.... :thumbsupsmiley:

in my case , i started early sa CAT, i was a platoon leader during my third year. fourth year they made me Corps S3. Early on i was offered to particapate the AFPGCT ( AFP general catipulation test ) that made me instant acdemic scholar provided that i have to be an cadet officer for the ROTC program. Ended up as a corps Commander of 3,000++ cadets on my fourth year. corruption was rampant even i gave in to the temptation . It came to the point that i no longer have to rely on my parents monthly allowance or the army scholarship semestral strippend.

The high school I attended is very small, so even first year students are allowed to join. I wasn't prepared for a recitation one day in my first year, so I decided to join the CAT. Hahahaha! My brother was the Corps Commander that time, so he didn't really give me a hard time, but most of the other officers did. The initiation rites (tama ba) was the toughest of all, super daming sugat ng siko ko from doing the crawl!

Hahahaha.

Isa pa, my brother was giving the boys some punishment, they were asked to roll and roll... roll to the left then to the right... siguro nahilo na yung isa sa kanila, nawala na sa alignment, tapos nalito sa left and right, eh dahil wala na sa alignment, pag roll tapat sa cock area ng katabi niya yung mukha niya!
