hello mtc doctors! does anyone have any information about hydro colonic teraphy? how much? where? i tried inquiring sa the farm sa lipa but it costs an arm and a leg . is it advisable without prior consultation? i have been experiencing irritable bowel movement for quite some time now and i have read on the net that compacted feces can be the cause. i have already consulted my MD and told me that i do not have any blockage or (hope not) cancer. i hope that you can help me. thanks!

colonic therapy ? why don't you change your diet first, take a lot of fiber rich food (veg, banana, etc) and drink a lot of fluids. when i say "a lot" I mean a lot.... e.g. 5-10 pcs of banana a day, avoid fastfood meals, refrain from taking too much beverages with caffeine, wait for nature to take its course (wait till you feel the urge to move your bowel),exercise, observe for a couple of days or weeks. if it doesn't work, consult a gastroenterologist. :mtc:

good day,

just learned that i have low sperm count during a semen analysis. does this mean i wont be able to have a child?

is there a way to increase sperm count?

would deeply appreciate all the help i can get

A low sperm count does not erase your chances of having a child. It just means that those with a normal count have a higher probability of having one (or 2 or 3...hehe)

Abstinence from sexual activity for a long period of time usually does the trick. You sperm count will increase

is it involuntary or you can control it ? maybe some sort of "tic" or muscle spasm around the eyes (blepharospasm) probably due to fatigue, stress and others. treatment includes rest, vitamins, botox and surgery.

malamang anti-bodies na lang un nasa dugo mo, lifetime na un. it only means that you are already immune from it. nothing to worry about unless it is hepa b which is a diff story.

hi guys,

i have this problem in my left eye, i excessively blink.

this started the time i had a job that requires me at least 8 hours in the computer,

i have not yet consult a doctor, im hoping you guys could help me.

thanks.

i had that thing years back. the doctor prescribed me a medicine which deadens the nerves that control the blinking.

ok na sya ngayon.... and btw, its an eyedrop.

it is involuntary but i'm aware of it, di ko lang talga macontrol.

there's a eyedrop daw wherein the eyedrop deadens the nerve of the eye,

may masamang effect ba un?

havent got it checked pa but a friend told me, ganito din kasi siya dati pero ngayon ok na. di ko pa din binili ung gamot will get my eye checked muna.

much better to have your eyes check first by an eye specialist (ophthalmologist) to be safe.

bro, since your blinking problem is indeed involuntary (as stated below), in the absence of other perceived signs, you are most probably suffering spasm of the eyelids. treatment of choice afaik is regular botox injections.

not aware of a new eyedrop that 'deadens the nerve of the eye.' medically speaking, eyedrops are designed to to infiltrate the cornea and the bulbar conjunctiva. they are not intended to infiltrate the lids. an ointment would be more suitable for that purpose.

if i were to venture a guess, artificial tears in the form of an eye drop could help alleviate frequent blinking secondary to dry eyes. but this is entirely different from blepharospasm even if they both present with the outward sign of frequent blinking.

a trip to your friendly neighborhood ophthalmologist (as otitismedia has suggested earlier) would help rule out one from the other. mura lang naman ang consultation fee (ng karamihan) in exchange for proper diagnosis, treatment and peace of mind. makakatulong ka pa sa hindi pag-alis ng mga doktor sa pilipinas papuntang ibang bansa.

hope this helps.

i wish i am wrong,

this means you are positive for Hepatitis B and you are infectious.

this should be in the hep B thread.

at any rate, yes you have the virus.

but we need to know if you are in the replicative (infective) state or not.

please have the ff done: HbeAg, anti Hbe, SGPT.

If you test positive for HbeAg, then the next step would be to check for your

HBVDNA or viral load.

but otherwise, if you test negative for HBeAg, then you can be cleared for work, provided that your job is not one of those considered as high-risk - medically related and the like.

you may post your questions in the Hep B thread. Johardue is a gastroenterologist.

thanks.

much better patingnan mo nga sa derma, professional naman un mga un. kailangan ma-test un skin for fungal infection or other type of skin problem. pag fungal infection at least 4 weeks ang treatment nito, sometimes longer depends on the situation or response sa medication.
