Guys just wanna ask about Diet pills. Well the problem is I have a low metabolism and i get hungry fast. Any diet pills out there to suppress the hunger ?

 

I'm currently on Xenical for almost 2months na and i think i just lost like 1-2 points by the way I can't do any exercise like jogging or treadmill because of the permanent injury I sustained on both of my toes. I just want to get rid of some of the weight i have or a couple of in off from this belly of mine.

you can try swimming or taebo / aerobics for exercise, as for the diet pills and hunger suppressant we have to wait what the others have to say.

have your thyroid hormone check (FT4,FT3,TSH), low thyroid hormone leads to low metabolism.

I have a friend who has insomnia and is taking sleeping pills prescribed by the doctor. However, she was taken to the hospital because she hasn't waked up for 4 days now. We are not sure if she has taken more than what is prescribed. How serious is this? Anyone knows similar incident and how long we are going to wait?

but i really wouldnt advise it.

side effects can range from palpitations to pulmonary hypertension (just google it. too tired to elaborate on the terms).

besides, it's a regulated drug.

meaning, you can't buy it even with the ordinary prescription, moreso over the counter.

my friend is experiencing lower back pain pabalik balik ung pain.. then last 2 week ata mdyo sumasakit na daw kpg umiihi cya pero minsan lng daw.. after nya umihi minsan mahapdi. and sa penis nya meron mga spots parang rashes pero wla naman pus na lumalabas.. ano kya ito? is it uti or what? i'll ask him if he wants to post his pic..

your friend is definitely experiencing a urinary tract infection, pus coming out or not. it could be an untreated std that has gotten worse. the pain transmitted to his lower back suggests that the infection is spreading upwards, thus, immediate treatment is mandatory. i suggest he seeks consult with a urologist for proper evaluation and management.

the girl should have a regular period for this to work. the safest days are the 7 days before and the 7 days after the first day of menstruation

I would agree that the rhythm method would work if the girl has a regular monthly period but has a failure rate of about 13 to 20%. This kind of method assumes that ovulation will occur always at the same time every month, which may not be the case all the time.

the urologist will decide after physical examination what appropriate lab test to do . It can be g/s,c/s,vdrl,ultrasound of KUB and a lot more. mejo matagal na rin un symptoms nya,IMO it is about time to consult a specialist.

i agree with sir otitismedia.. better consult a specialist..urologist in his case..advise him to bring his latest lab results and list of medicines he already took... a consult will be best to further evaluate his status as for was it a new or recurrent infection? untreated infection? probable stones? etc... hth

I just thought someone on the forum can point me on the right direction (perhaps give some insights).

 

I'm on my mid 30s and currently have a fused hip, been like this for 20 years (long story) now and I'm thinking of having it converted to a "ball and socket" - i.e have a Total Hip Replacement. I'm still on early stages of planning and was just wondering if anybody here could give a "ball park" figure of the cost. I understand every case is different and ofcourse, doctor's fee varies... but I would be happy for a "range" value.

 

Honestly, I've been wondering if this sort of operation would be on the "300K range" or "500K and above" range or somewhere in between...

 

Any orthopedic surgeons out there? please?

Hi DP, I agree with H-O-L, you have to give serious thoughts on what you are planning. First of all your case is not the run of the mill THR but rather a conversion from a 20 years hip fusion to a mobile THR hip. You have a lot of factors that may become a reason for you not to achieve what you are hoping for a THR. Your rehabilitation after THR would really be quite intensive, considering that many of your hip muscles are already atrophied your THR would be in a condition of less stability which would mean you would be more prone to incidences of dislocations and the demands on your THR system would be greater during the period of intensive PT, which may make your THR system lifespan shorter and you would need a revision or replacement in less than 5 years.
