ilang months narin tong kati sa tenga ko i put cream pero it comes back

san ba ang kati, sa loob mismo ng ears ? as in inside the ear canal ? if that is the case then you need a "solution" or ear drops not "cream" for your ear. have to check your ear thoroughly to make a right diagnosis. go back to your ENT or get a 2nd opinion.

HI Doc,

Thanx much, this time ill insist that, can u tell me the hospital that offers that amount for colonoscopy so just I have an option, in case we'll be needing to do that. Again thank u and more power :)

Abdominal pain (a.k.a. stomachache) can be one of the symptoms associated with transient disorders or serious disease. Making a definitive diagnosis of the cause of abdominal pain can be difficult, because many diseases can result in this symptom. Abdominal pain is a common problem. Most frequently the cause is benign and/or self-limited, but more serious causes may require urgent intervention.

there are many possible causes of abdominal pain.. it can be gastrointestinal in origin, biliary, hepatic (liver), pancreatic, renal or urological, gynecologic, referred pain, metabolic disturbance, vascular, or it can even be idiopathic..

to answer your query, in the hospital where i practice, if i`m not mistaken a colonoscopy would usually set you back around 15-20k..

i think it`s best that your mom should consult a gastroenterologist if she continues to experience persistent abdominal pain..

1. Masama ba ang 5-6 times na makuhanan ng X-Ray sa loob ng 2 months? If yes, what are the possible effects?

2. Ano ibig sabihin kapag sa isang PTB patient, "unchanged" ang result ng X-RAY after 2 months of intensive treatment.

Note: Yung patient asymptomatic, initial AFB smear negative (3x), and AFB smear after 7 weeks still negative(x1).

Thanks sa sinumang makakasagot.

let me try to answer your queries..

1. I`m not a radiologist, but as I understand it, just like other medical procedures, x-rays are safe when used with care. Radiologists and x-ray technologists have been trained to use the minimum amount of radiation necessary to obtain the needed results. The amount of radiation used in most examinations is very small and the benefits greatly outweigh the risk of harm.

2. I`m asuming the initial diagnosis is active PTB? if this is the case then "unchanged" would mean that there is no improvement after intensive treatment.. now, the problem with AFB staining kasi is that it`s only a screening test, and if the number of tubercle bacilli is too low, they will not be detected on the smear.. the more definitive ancillary procedure would be a Mycobacterial culture test.. kaya lang getting the result would take around 8 weeks pa..

xray radiation is much safer nowadays, and, with the depletion of the ozone layer, exposure to a single xray shot is roughly comparable to getting sun tan in the midday. PTB takes 6-12 months to cure,so being unchanged may mean just that. the thing is, after the first two weeks, the person doesn't become infective. in other words, hindi siya nakakahawa. treatment has to continue, however, to treat your infection.

as peterparker pointed out, the AFB is just a screening test, it would be negative if the particles are too low, especially after the first two weeks of the treatment. it only also shows you are not infective, speading the virus.....

Thanks. Follow up question... no improvement in terms of what po doc? no improvement in the appearance of the spot only or it includes no improvement in the overall well-being of the patient or no improvement in the treatment of the disease?

Heres the xray result...

Impression:

PTB, Left upper lung, Stable

hmm.. the impression pala is PTB, stable.. so that you won`t be confused, i`m referring to the findings on the chest x-ray.. after intensive treatment, "unchanged" yung hitsura ng lesion, meaning it did not regress or become smaller, nor did it become bigger or change in appearance..

how old are you na ba senator? thare are different causes of ED, both physical and non-physical.. and these include chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension, diet and lifestyle, psychogenic, etc..

i would suggest that you have a general medical check-up and consultation with a urologist for evaluation of ED.. treatment will depend on the findings..

there are only three (3) oral drugs approved by the FDA for treatment of ED.. Cialis, Viagra and Levitra.. these drugs when taken without the prescription and supervision of a physician can be very risky, as they can cause certain side effects which are, quite frankly very hazardous..

now, in the case of herbal preparations and other non-regulated formulations designed to treat ED, i strongly urge you to not buy any of these because of the dangerous side effects that they can cause..

ideally, you should consult a cardiologist and have yourself worked-up and evaluated for any cardiovascular condition that you might have.. then you will know if any of the abovementioned drugs will suit your needs..

it`s really not worth it, risking your health and your life by taking medicines without proper supervision..

im not sure if this is a medical or psychological problem but here goes..

when i was single, i used to be with different women (sexually active with them) until i became serious with my current GF. We have been together for 3 years now and i havent been "fooling around" with other women and we are very much sexually active.

Last month, i felt the urge to hire a psp because she was hot! so just when we were doing the foreplay, napansin ko hindi tumayo si manoy ko.. and so she gave me a BJ and it made it slighty hard but as soon as she lets go, lumalambot na sya, in the end walang penetration.

I felt scared baka mild ED na, so i met with my GF one night, tinabihan ko lang sya, tumayo na si manoy ko! there wasnt a problem in the end, we were able to do it.

So after a week, I hired another hot psp, but unfortunately di na naman tumayo si manoy! same thing BJ made its slighty hard but lumalambot kagad.

My first suspect was guilt.. but in my mind i wasnt thinking of what guilt because i wanted to screw the psp... so i dont get whats happening!!

its like my manoy has its own mind huhu ayaw sa hindi GF! i think baka psychological, my minds whats to screw the other girls pero pag nandon na, ayaw magparticipate ni manoy! i fear that with or without gf baka maging ganyan parin mangyari.. i dont think its guilt because 1.) it was my intention to hire somebody for s3x and did it twice (if may guilt edi di ko na ginawa the 2nd time) 2.) the girls were attractive.

i really dont get it, pls help me, im mid 20's btw.

hmm.. i believe your problem is psychological in nature.. to me it`s looks like you have a fear or aversion of having sexual relations with women other than your gf.. it`s difficult to explain but it seems you only "perform" when you are with your significant other..

may i suggest that you consult a urologist and a psychologist for you to find out the possible roots of your present predicament...

well, the cardiologist will coordinate with the urologist to determine which drug for ED will suit you if ever the need arises...

thanks for your reply, i would eventually consult a urologist or a psychologist.

i really find it weird.. im attracted to other women and i dont think im worried of breaking up with my gf. I still fantasize of other women and get aroused "looking/watching" but on the deed itself i cant seem to get it up. I fear that this thing will build up more and more as the embarrassment builds up as well hehehe

anyway, thanks a lot doc, do share more tips in case you can come up of more ;)

got blood on the tissue after passing stool...i went to a doctor for check up and underwent sigmoidoscopy..physician found that i have anal fissure...he prescribe this rectal something...

question any medicne to fast hel this fissure..advise pls

Non-surgical treatment is recommended as first-line treatment of acute and chronic anal fissures. Customary treatments included warm sitz baths, topical anesthetics, high-fiber diet and stool softeners.

Treatment may also be required to stop the persistent itching of anal fissures. This constant itching (especially during sleep times) causes the wounds to be torn open which lengthens healing times. Wearing cotton gloves to bed has been known to limit the damage that this itching can cause.

Surgical treatment, under general anaesthesia, was either anal stretch (Lord's operation) or lateral sphincterotomy where the internal anal sphincter muscle is incised. Both operations aim to decrease sphincter tone and thereby restore normal blood supply to the anal mucosa. Surgical operations involve a general anaesthetic and can be painful postoperatively. Anal stretch is also associated with anal incontinence in a small proportion of cases and thus sphincterotomy is the operation of choice.

A new medical/surgical development came in 1993 when researchers reported injecting botulinum toxin into the anal sphincter to relax the sphincter and promote fissure healing.

From 1995, doctors began to prescribe various drugs to reduce the tone of the internal sphincter and operations for anal fissure have since then decreased by two-thirds.

inoflox at triderm

triderm cream ? i don't give cream or ointment for ear infection, try anti-fungal "solution" (NOT cream) together with your antibacterial ear drops. Let the solution stay inside your ears for 10 minutes. treatment duration 4 weeks to 2 months kahit wala ka ng nararamdaman. works wonder i guarantee you. :thumbsupsmiley:

just a note : make sure that your ear canal is free of debris like dead skin cells or discharge, otherwise no amount of medicated ear drops will work.

Good day to all..nice thread you guys got here..very informative..

I have two topics I'd like to know more about....

1.Bartholin's Gland

What does it do?

What's the difference between a Bartholin's Gland Cyst and a Bartholin's Gland Abcess?

How does one get it? What is course of treatment?

How would you know it isn't cancerous esp if cancer runs in your family?

2.Cancer

What's the general laboratory test to know whether you have cancer?

Should the test be specific to a body part ?

What are the most obvious cancer symptoms?

Is vertigo a sympton of a cancer?

Is Wrist ganglion cyst also a sign of cancer?

How about erratic bowel movement, constipation that lasts for days and then followed by diarrhea, terrible pain in the abdomen (more like a stomach cramps)that make you fall to your knees, could it be a sign of gastro intestinal or colon cancer?

Thanks a lot in advance!
