Books We Loved When We Were Kids

Has anyone here read any Dr. Seuss (Theodor Seuss-Geisel) books during their childhood.

The one which lingers in my mind the most is "Green Eggs and Ham"

I am Sam. Sam I am. I love to eat green eggs and ham.

I also loved the following film adaptations of his work:

1) Horton Hears a Who

2) The Grinch (little Cindy Lou, now all grown up - and out!!)

My first book when i was around 8 or 9 years old, was How to k*ll a Mocking Bird...

I also read To k*ll A Mockingbird when I was a kid, and I think it was the first book that made me cry. We didn't have a lot of kiddie books in the house; my dad and I just shared the same books.

Aside from that, I also loved:

The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen (I loved all of HCA's works but this was my favorite)

Library of the Universe by Isaac Asimov - Actually a series of 32 books that came with the Encyclopedia Britannica. These books were the reason I wanted to become an astronomer when I was in grade school.

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

I wish I was able to read Dr. Seuss' books when I was little.
