Never leave Cebu without eating in Casa Verde! Order their best seller Baby Back Ribs. For only 160+ pesos you get a 2 ENORMOUS PIECES OF BEEF RIBS with either your choice of rice or mashed potatoes. The meat is soft, tender and oh so delicious! Im a big eater and I know what is BIG from something that is claiming to be big. Trust me... after eating there, you'll laugh at how small and inferior the servings from Racks, Burgoo and the rest are...

Also don't leave Cebu without trying their ever famous lechon. You can even try the roadside lechon going to and fro the airport. Its not always CNT when it comes to lechon. Match it with "Puso" (according to Market Manila, 'Puso is one of those near perfect foods — a compact pre-measured and cooked portion of white rice in a natural wrapper of woven biodegradable coconut leaves.')

Its an ethereal experience!

I've been to a club in Mango Ave. named Juliana. For me its ok but the crowd is a bit of the younger side (teens) hence the rap/hip-hop music. Is there a place here where the crowd are yuppies and more on the mature side (excluding oldies)? I also prefer clubs that play house and trance mixes. I've seen and read about Vudu but haven't tried it yet. Oh and I remember I went to club inside IT Park. Forgot the name of the place. You have to walk up a set of stairs to get to that club. But anyway, can anyone suggest? Gonna be in Cebu this october 09... thanks!

magulo sa mango avenue :)

club in it park, u must be talking about loft. vudu is ok too. or formo at banilad town center.

yuppies and mature crowd? pwede din loft, vudu, formo. or the wineshop at gorordo

Hello mods and members.

Ask lang sana ako ng help to find a good resort which we can stay overnight ni misis, ung di masyado malayo from the city but the athmosphere wud be nature..pauwi from vacation galing sa disyerto, need to see green colors..

hope some one can help.

thanks in advance..

Most of the good resorts in Cebu are 30-60 minutes from the city, depending on the traffic conditions.

But if you are still up to it and do not care about the price, Shangri-la Mactan would be nice. I'm sure you'll love it there.

If you're looking for nearer in the city, there is the Marco Polo hotel. It is not a resort but it's on the way up to the mountains,

you will see a lot of greens there... :D

To get to Bantayan Island, just take a bus to the north then a boat to the island.

To get to Kawasan Falls, just take a bus to the south.

At the bus terminal (north or south bus terminal depending on where you want to go), just ask the conductors where you want to go and they'll tell you which bus to take. Most buses have trips every hour.

my last trip to cebu (a couple of weeks ago), i had the chance to check out this place called abaca.

it's down the road from shangri-la mactan & the hilton.

small resort hotel, but very first-class & private.

had a pretty good lunch.

pricey, but looks worth it, if you plan to do nothing else while you're there.

1. beaches depend on your budget. for me the best ones are Shangrila Mactan and Imperial Palace.

2. the best gimmick places are Formo Restobar in BTC mall and Vudu at crossroads.

3. There are many good places to eat like Harbour City Dimsum, Chikaan, many authentic japanese restos - again all depends on your budget.

budget for the foods and other stuffs are fine with me, but spending too much for a hotel fee are not, i will not be spending too much time inside the room so spending 2k per night is just too much...any suggestions of where could we stay with affordable price?

sear thanks for the reply will definitely try out those places that you've mentioned.

additional infos will be appreciated. TIA!

1: maribago blue waters, tambuli, whitesands, you can just go there for a day with lunch na

and just stay in a cheaper hotel for the night.

2: depends on what you want. if you want to see city lights go to tops,

there are also some bars around mainly in banilad area.

3: restaurants in ayala teraces, crossroads, I.T. park laguardia or along AS Fortuna road.

Just drive through these places and see what you like.
