Sabi nga nun isang poster the Jet made the lucky shots ...

Well ipagdarasal kong manalo ...

  2. me personally expected ko na lakers will make the playoffs kahit ang gulo gulo ng team nila. 2 weeks before the playoff kasi puro "rest" na ang mga teams except for teams looking for a playoff spot.

now Lakers will deal with the Dwight signing problem. will he or will he not.... IMHO he will sign with the Lakers. they can offer more money 30 million freakin dollors more.... and after about 2 years he will be the face of the franchise. (2 years Kobe will probably retire) another reason is that he is recently injury prone he should think about getting the longest contract possible to protect himself.

    peace!

It was not easy for the laker to qualify for the playoffs ... while "rest mode" na lahat ng teams in the final two weeks, may inside track pa rin ang Utah since they have the easier schedule and the tie breaker. I put the lakers chance to enter the playoffs at 50/50 most.

Going into the final game of the season against Houston, they already knew it was a no bearing game in terms of a playoff spot but still battled to get the 7th seed.

Not bad coz that is the same number of wins that the 5th seed in the East has.

DH will do his die diligence in free agency but logically, I agree that DH will resign with the Lakers ... ang laking pera ang pakakawalan niya.

Mitch has proven time and again na magaling siyang GM. I think he knows how to deal with DH

  3. 22 yata out of the 82 games. cant win games if you dont know the style of play ng team mates mo.

at least they got to the playoffs. many said that Uta will make it instead of the LAL. mas nakakahiya pag they didnt make it sa playoffs.

all season long daming problema ng Lakers.

yup and got the 7th seed pa kahit na "pinagtatawanan" ng mga haters nun time they are struggling even to get the 8th seed laugh.gif

  4. The Laker's strength supposedly is their "starting 5" but unfortunately how many games did we see them play all together at the same time because of injuries.

  5. The reliables of Boston made great plays in this particular game. Aside from best player Paul Pierce, very special mention goes to Jeff Green because in this series he's mostly the one guarding New York's Carmelo anthony. Jason Terry of course was the one who made the lucky shots in this particular game.

its about time TERRY gets LUCKY laugh.gif

More than his points contribution in today's game, it was his role in getting JR Smith suspended that help get this W for the C's. rolleyes.gif

na-injured pati sila Meeks and Blake eh... tsk..

    bawi next season, revamp ulit...

  8. He was offered a no trade clause & more money. The C's just pissed him off. But it would've been better to be a starter in another contender instead of just making Miami a lot better. Nash isn't a backup. Ray can get more rings but not a member of the big 3. He's too good to be in just a supporting role.

Yes, I now remember that there was a no trade clause ... yup he was really pissed and despite all the sweeteners in the offer still decided to leave the C's. Oh and I remember one issue that pissed him as well was being relegated as a reserve.

Considering that Rivers had Allen coming off the bench late last year (specifically during the playoffs) it's not a guarantee that he'll start for the C's if he signs. Unless that is part of the agreement which I am not aware of, I think he'll be competing with Bradley for the starting job. But it seems IMHO, Doc's mindset is to play Bradley as a starter because of his D and have RA coming off the bench for his scoring.

Well personally I don't think it matters with RA for not being part of Miami's big 3 ... the important thing is that he will be considered as an integral part in this championship run. In other words, he may not start for the Heat but is their most productive player off the bench. And so far in their current series, Ray has been that for the Heat something that the C's miss in the Jet. In fact Lee another SG signed last summer to replace RA is now out of Doc's rotation.

  9. I actually don't like ray joining miami as it shows him as a ring chaser and helping your opponent win another ring.

It's boston's fault for using him as trade bait.

Actually we all know that the NBA is "business" ... Usually players try to get the best deal out there for them (either monetary or a chance to win a ring). The ball clubs treats them as commodities that is why they can trade the players.

In the case of Ray, I would think he got offended when the C's try to trade him thus he really wasn't interested to return (since the C's could eventually try and trade him again). Signing with the Heat I believe was the best scenario for him in terms of money and the chance to win another ring. If ever that happens he will be one up vs the original remaining big 3 of the C's

  10. The Lakers miss the playoff once I believe during the post Shaq-Kobe era. They had a 34-48 record that season which eventually enable them to draft Andrew Bynum.

For the next two years they would qualify for the playoffs as the 7th seed but on both occasion their season would end after losing in the 1st round. So it seems that history will repeat itself. The Lakers this year have the 7th seed and looks like will have a first round exit.

for two consecutive years after that season. The Lakers were seeded 7th on both occasions

The Lakers are spending $100M in salaries this year, but they also have revenues and one of the would be the $4B 20 year TV deal with Time Warner that kicks-in this season. That is around $200M annually on that deal alone. So I don't think they are losing money moreso losing $100M this year.

  11. Doc Rivers confirms that Lee whom the Celtics has signed during the summer to replace Ray Allen has now fallen off his rotation sad.gif

Jason Terry, another one of the guys signed to add depth to the SG position has not so far produce a big game for the C's in this series. huh.gif Am sure a lot of Celtics fans are hoping to see a repeat of the type of his performance when Dallas won its championship

Ray Allen on the other hand already got two 20 pt games for Miami out of the 3 games played in the first round. Moreso, on the night when Wade had an off night (1 of 12 fg), Allen was there to step-up scoring 23 pts.

While Terry's averages this season compares to that of Allen, Allen IMHO is more valuable. I am not surprise why KG was "mad" on Allen for leaving laugh.gif Pinersonal nga yata e ... and I am non wondering why. Allen is so far averaging around 16 ppg in the playoffs vs Terry's 4.5 ppg. That's quite a big disparity. It's time for Terry to wake up and help this team rolleyes.gif

  12. Talo ulit sa game 2 vs Knicks.

    Natambakan nun 3rd quarter.

Siyempre andun un usual contribution ng 6th man of the year na si Smith.

While Boston was able to limit the Knicks to below 90 pts hindi naman sila makaiskor nun 4th quarter.

I don't see the Celtics winning their series against the Knicks.

i know someone who thinks the C's could be in the NBA Finals rolleyes.gif

if it becomes a reality, well and good.

    Interesting facts ...

    • both Lee and Terry who were signed to replace Ray Allen were not able to deliver in the 1st game against the Knicks.

    • Despite being "undersized" the Knicks got away with 10 offensive rebound ... anong nangyari? sad.gif

sayang talo ang celtics. terry played for 20 minutes with o points going 0 out of five from the field. bawi na lang sa next game. dami turn overs ng mga starter,

Actually its not only Terry who had a miserable night ...

Lahat ng reserves ZERO sa FG. Un 4 pts na bench production ( from Lee) galing FT.

  16. The lakers already know that they will advance to the playoffs even before their game started. They could have opted to rest their starters. But it seems they really wanted to face the spurs rather than the younger and faster okc.
