  2. @ viral- yup, and i don't think that would change soon. let's face it, you can actually get autos at a cheaper price than hunting rifles. as it is, i am contemplating either a CZ858 or, if i can find one, a Magal. i need a nice carbine around Xmas time.....

  3. Went to the gun show with the thought of purchasing a caliber 45 pistol but was disapointed with all the requirements which I have to produce and undergo again, decided to hold in abeyance my purchase till the requirements are relaxed.

my advice would be to wait until the new law takes effect. first, there will be an amnesty. then the new law fully takes hold. Licenses will be in several Classes/Categories. a Class A allows you to own 2 firearms( note, no more 1 long and 1 short), a Class B gets you 3, all the way to a Class G which allows you 30(!). so, one license, multiple firearms, not like the old system wherein isang license per firearm.

you will have to register every firearm under the license, though, and they are still working on how much to charge.

also, the law now also states that you could license ANY Semi-Auto, up until 7.62 NATO.

  4. Hi sirs anybody here knows the taurus judge? And do you recommend the beretta 9mm or do you have any suggestions

on the whole, Taurus revolvers are very reliable. i will not say the same about their auto pistols!

as to Beretta, you have got to be more specific, as Beretta has many models in the 9mm caliber.....

  5. Hey, thanks for the links.

A 30.30 lever action is a classic, and as a student of firearms, I'd love to have one. There are modern-day versions of Indians, and they need to be shot, so a 30.30 would still come in handy. laugh.gif

Armscor is selling a .45 frame pistol that chambers the TCM. You can shoot it as a house gun at their range. I just don't know if the TCM has been tried in a rifle-length barrel for an apples-to-apples ballistic comparison with the .223/5.56.

Armscor released a bolt action rifle that used the .22 TCM during the Gun Show last November. the Magazine could take 7 rounds, but its dimensions were similar to their 9mm magazines. ergo, you could use the regular 15-16 round TCM magazines in the rifle.

i was told that they will be placing out a semi-auto carbine, maybe during the Gun Show this weekend or for the Gun Show in November-December. now, that would be a nice camp carbine.......
