  1. I can't help but be amused on your attempt to lecture on DB using that lame "manliligaw" analogy that entirely missed the point.

    Napa face palm ako dun.

Lol. I tried to reason but. Well.
Moving on, posted a vid on the Senate thread. Also read the Phil Star article on Grace Poe's possible parents. Stories sound plausible, but they do have a tinge of the telenovela in them. The Danding angle makes sense, though.

If the ultimate objective is to be raised out of poverty, I don't see why love matters. But your example is flawed. First, that suitor is free to use his time, energy, and money on anyone he wants to; it's his time, energy, and money after all. By the way, there are ways to use that suitor's resources without putting yourself out, as a lot of women throughout history know. Now a politician wooing you for a vote is not like your example at all because of the simple, basic fact that, guess what, tax money does not belong to the politician, it belongs to the people. So there's that.

Your example also fails to take into account the point of so many posts I've read here stating, explicitly and implicitly, that one must look at candidates' actions - voting records, track records in governance, private sector accomplishments, etc. - which say more about a candidate than pedigree or FB campaign pages. I don't like the Marcoses. I don't like commies and terrorist-lovers either, and I hate slick pork barrel sycophants and liars who pretend to be fighting for whatever new issue is popular. Given those parameters, there'd be no one left to vote for. Pa'no na? Iyak?

When someone asks for a discussion of issues, it is in no way equivalent to saying we should take a candidate at their weak word. One would think that was elementary reasoning but I have to keep reminding myself that we are a nation that averages 86 in IQ. If people want to continue with redundant ad hominem posts I wish they would at least try to be funny or entertaining. Request lang naman, huwag magpa-pressure, baka may ceiling din ang kakayahan.

But here's the point, again: how many times do you need to see the same point made over and over before it gets b o r i n g. There are so many more things to learn, so many other candidates to talk about. Unless, of course, your only objective here is to be a troll.

  3. OK lang sa kanya na masupalpal.

The more you engage him, the more posts he can make on the same topic.

    More posts, more pay.

Their intent is to keep other readers of this thread constantly reminded of their chosen topic. For now, it's Imee's alleged lying about her education.

Repeat the propaganda over and over and people will eventually perceive it as truth.

Don't you notice, they don't even bother to respond to legitimate issues about what laws and policies the Senators should focus on?

Having backread 13 pages of the Senate Election thread, have to agree with you on this. I was looking for informed posts and a healthy exchange of opinions dealing with platforms and track records on laws passed. The agri issue you brought up is important. So are the WPS and the Mindanao issues. Instead there was way too much noise on the same rehashed issues. Each page of the thread runs almost identically to the one before it. Gets real tiring real fast. Can we consider someone a troll and ignore them if they can't even post their choices for senate?

  4. There's a march for science that's more emotional than scientific.

There's a women's march that excludes conservative women.

There's an antifa movement that is downright fascist.

And then there are universities that shut down free speech.

With dormitories who wish to keep white people out.

    Sigh.

The left are like Al Franken. They need an education, such as the one Gorsuch routinely delivered at his confirmation hearings.

  5. I don't think North Korea is worried. I regard North Korea as a berzerker. If the US launches cruise missiles at them, their default reprisal would be to do the same to South Korea so if the US plans to launch something like this, it better make sure it takes out all the missile silos of Nokor. Otherwise, all hell is gonna break loose in the Korean Peninsula.

There is nothing the US can do if Nokor taunts it by conducting nuclear tests. The North has missiles pointed at the South and the US does not want Sokor, which has a US base there. in it to be put in harm's way because they launched Tomahawk missiles at Nokor. Also, the US can't risk a proxy war or even a direct war with China, a US trade partner, because of its aggression on Nokor. Kim Jong Un sure knows his geopolitics.

The US won't win a direct war against China unless it nukes the whole China.

The US would be more circumspect than that, I think. They have to be, they don't want to be in a war and Trump did run on a campaign of America's economy first before policing the world on the dime of the American taxpayer. But recent events show that he can change his mind; he did about Assad when he saw the gassed kids.

North Korea seems to always make statements when global attention starts shifting away from them. It would just be interesting to know how Trump positioned the US with Xi visiting, knowing full well that by attacking the Syrian military installations he was making a huge departure from the Obama doctrine of leading from behind. Trump made sure the world understood there's a different kind of sheriff in town, no?

Then there's Mattis and Tillerson facing off with the Chinese contingent. Wonder what that meeting was like.

  6.

Good to know about your office. Really. But not true about the blocked internet use in all offices, having been in government myself. And the LTO, kung ano man ang dahilan nila, they suck. All the way to the top of that yellow food chain. ;)

  7.

I am a humble government employee. Been with the government since GMA's time. That's why I'm familiar with how the system works and why a lot of times it does not work. Even yang DAP na yan. It was only declared illegal recently, but all Presidents prior to PNoy have done the same thing because it's legality was never in question before. And for all the negative reactions about DAP, people forget that government expenditure remains to pump prime the economy. If the government doesn't spend, it slows down economic growth. Kaya naging kalakaran yang DAP na yan, to re-allocate government funds from shelved projects to other projects for implementation. The purpose is good, per yun nga lang talaga, kung corrupt talaga ang Presidente mo, it will be abused.

I'm sorry. I couldn't not remark on this but...wala bang pasok today? Pwede na pala mag personal internet use during work hours ang sinasahuran ng taxpayers? Baka kaya rin siguro delayed na ng isang taon ang lisensya ko? Matanong nga kay Ate sa LTO. ;)

  8. If Hillary wins, she's no Aquino. Of that, I am certain. Hillary seems to be a "hawk". If the Chinese wanna dance, she will gladly dance the South China Sea two-step with them.

Hillary did unscrupulous things as Secretary of State; that's going to be a tough battle for her. That is if the American public is paying attention, it'll be difficult to defend that email scandal that's being investigated by the FBI.

Whoever the next US President is going to be, I hope he/she proves to be a stronger leader than the current one. World security depends on it.
