  1. You must be an idiot for thinking that way! Look, there are regular daily posts. Is that what you call dead? Hey, go back to your politics and government threads if you don't wanna be beaten black and blue here!

The guys you're talking about, even if they fight against each other from time to time, can easily unite against a "foreign" invader like you!

it's what i call brain-dead. but sure, let all your "cohorts" come out of the woodwork ;)

  2. James Bond: "A gun and a radio. Not exactly Christmas, is it?"

Q: "What were you expecting, an exploding pen?"

That just about sums up the lack of high tech stuff in Skyfall. For me, though, that's actually a plus. This is the James Bond for a world reeling from tough economic times - a little rough around the edges, gritty, and more akin to a cowboy than to the 007 brand. There were so many great things about this reboot: the plentiful nods to past Bond movies, references to old-school gadgets like an ejector seat, dry humor that'll get you chuckling, Judi Dench reciting 'Ulysses,' and yes, Javier Bardem. Didn't think I'd enjoy seeing him, but he truly delivered. Everyone delivered, and the story tied up nicely in the end into the Bond mythos.

    I'd give it an 8.5/10.

  3. Condura Skyway 2013, Asics Promo. Participating Asics stores are GB3, solenad, and zalora.com.

Rave: neat promo. a different take on the usual post-run discounts at the Asics on-site kiosk.

Rant: the free registration (about 1k) barely covers the premium on most Asics shoes here. the styles are limited esp. on zalora, only 3 styles for women as of today, and only the gel 1170 is for running. am not exactly bowled over.

  4. we can run free on Condura skyway marathon...

waiting for details... excited din ako dito...

tara Turk, ppdd, yrrah, dungeonbaby, floppydrive, go for marathon....

you're all going for the half or full marathon, and i'll be at the 10k line with the masses lol

  5. @ Turk, nakakainis talaga ang patong sa presyo dito. my Asics were half the price of the pairs sold here, same with my Nikes, except they were a season or two behind. but who cares if you're not in the latest color, right? on the upside, i've found that NB is about the same or cheaper here. i love my NB 310s, even for dancing the weight and the cushioning feel great.

  6. Not a problem. If that's how members would like this thread to be, that's really ok. Just as an aside, on the Movie Review thread, people post spoiler alerts pretty religiously. After all, it only takes a second to type two words.

As for your question on the shelf-life of a spoiler, a perfunctory search on the internet yields a helpful entry from Wikipedia implying that the ability of a spoiler to ruin enjoyment of a work is pretty much forever.

Early rules of netiquette insisted that spoilers could and should be normally avoided, but if the posting of "spoiling" information was unavoidable, it be preceded by a warning, such as "SPOILER ALERT" or the spoiler itself has to be masked so that it can not be visible to any but those keen for details and not fazed at the thought of such potentially plot-revealing information.

There is among internet users a socially unique but pointedly expressed insistence on being protected from material considered to include "spoiler" information by website operators or forum moderators, even in the internet version of settings where such material has conventionally and historically appeared, such as discussion groups or literary reviews. As a result of this level of objection to spoilers, trolls may post them purely for their own pleasure, finding amusement in believing they are completely ruining a narrative experience for others. On reputable websites, these can be reported to moderators and such posts taken down, the posters blacklisted, but only after the fact.

But ANYWAY, refraining from participating as you suggested is another way to go about it. So carry on, walkers.

    Sorry if this was off-topic.

  7. the old ayala museum for the dioramas and the aviary near it.

@nick: would've picked rome. for known discipline. you're probably right about long-range warfare, though by missile weapons did you mean crossbows? china, too, for a better cavalry with the stirrup and all. still would pick rome. did you know there is an art of war thread?

the poetry of love - what puts you in a more passionate mood - filipino or english and why?

  8. sorry. i guess it would help not to read here na lang if you haven't seen it. i read from a thread somewhere that it's no longer considered a spoiler if the episode has been shown and released (albeit not locally).

point taken. it's a risk to read these threads if one is behind like i am and to merely count on spoiler alerts. but i do remember this from some seasons ago, and some of us may not have been told:

actually one episode left, to air on Sunday.

i was about to give up on this show but dannnggggg .... last night's was episode was awesome.

ALSO MOD NOTE - IF YOU MUST POST SPOILERS, PUT IT BEHIND A SPOILER TAG. BE CONSIDERATE TO THOSE WHO HAVENT SEEN THE EPISODE YET.

NEXT PERSON TO POST A SPOILER WILL GET PENALIZED. DONT BE RUDE; USE THE SPOILER TAGS.

  9. Ano kaya yun surprise ng asics sa november 15

    Guess?!!

Maybe free race kit for condura if u buy asics?

    Or huge discount?

    1 year installment on shoes?

    Free trial on shoes?

Swap your old shoes for a new one?

    Have a guess?!

sobrang pabor sa 'kin 'to. the huge discount would have to be at least 20% to match amazon prices.
