  1. im a Sun Post paid subsciber...so far...the service is very "good" in connecting to Smart/Globe/TNT/AMP/TM..ironically...its hard to connect to a Sun number  (because of the 24x7)

but call rate wise....Sun charges only 5.50 on i speak plans on any network...and 1 peso for SMS (any network)

and unlike other carriers....where there is a base monthly rate w/ free minutes....your subscription plan is consumable w/o hidden charges...meaning..

for example..u have a Plan 2000, u can consume that 2000 thru local & international calls, SMS, etc..and by default...its 24x 7 unlimited (for Sun to Sun calls & SMS) :D..any excess of ur plan will be charged the standard rates

    • Like (+1) 1
  2. its better to keep ur Sun...the Gokongweis have amassed a warchest of funds (the past year) in order to upgrade their cell sites (piggybacking their landline infrastructure) as well as installing new cell sites nationwide...so expect better connection and wider signal coverage the next 2 -5 yrs...the 24x7 scheme is a nifty strategy to approximate actual demand than hiring a 3rd party firm to do market studies

Globe on the other hand is beefing up its campaign to keep its "loyal" customers (which is predominantly Class A&B) since most of its consumer base (middle class) were swayed to switch to Sun or Smart...

  5. yup, i was referring to Connor Hawke, but based in the JL cartoons...its Oliver Queen... Connor Hawke is the 3rd greatest martial artist in the DC universe behind Lady Shiva & The Batman

maybe Hal's ressurection is his chance for redemption, following what he has done in his Parallax & Spectre personas

I don't think Barry Allen would be resurrected by the guys at DC. in a way, tanggap na ng mga fans ngayon si Wally West na Flash, not to mention Barry died a heroic death.

I think the underlying reason why they had to resurrect Hal as GL is because of the treatment he received that led to his demise. I guess fans never got to accept that Hal became a "villain" in his later years. Even if he did redeem himself in the end, I guess the impact was so great for many who got used to Hal to swallow. Now with this move, can Hal find redemption as last? Let's wait and see...

current Green Arrow? di ba si Oliver Queen ang current GA? you might be referring to GA Connor Hawke.

  6. nyahaha fafah Jerzzz nakikiusyoso lang ako dito  havent picked up WW (that could be Wally West or the Who's Who character encyclopedia) neither The Legion Of Superheroes...hehehe, the last time ive read about them is during the Pre- Crisis era..(1985-1986) ...nabura ata sila sa DC continuity ng naging isa na lang ang Earth...di ko na matandaan :P

abAh fAfA oRiON ikAW pALa mAyOR ditO

whAtS NeW nA bA sA dC? any neWS kay WW & LSH

i StOPPeD cOLLeCtiNG cOmiCS deC 2003, nUnG nOV 2003, 12 cOmiCS peR mOntH pA akO  mASyAdOnG mAhAL

  7. Hmmmm IMO...how about resurrecting Barry Allen as well? hehehe....i hate Guy Gardner, Kyle Rayner & Jon Stewart..i hate the current Green Arrow....I dont like Aquamans beard and ala Neptune persona and his cybernetic hook/arm,

good thing they didnt alter The Dark Knight.....thank God Azrael disappeared... hehehe

re: Hal Jordan as Green Lantern again, why do I get the feeling that DC is getting the Silver Age nostalgia: resurrection of Oliver Queen, Aquaman back in his old orange costume, now Hal Jordan's return. All I can say here is "why?"

  8. The CC industry is not a fad...it is just a variant of Customer Service & Business Outsourcing....It will evolve into another animal just like what the Dotcoms did....the companies died...but the employees who kept reinventing themselves, learned cross functional skills and accepted change...are successful....every industry has its life cycle...its dynamic..you have to adopt to the changes what the market & business envinronments require...

to the CC agents...no offense but dont sit on your laurels yet...it may look good now..but be prepared to learn and absorb skills than just surf and chat....or else...better equipped people will eventually take your jobs (example...Online strategic business consulting, online feasibility or business planning interaction....these require other skills than just being able to speak english fluently)...learn as much as u can :)

to other peeps employed in other industries...CC people are just the same like the rest...they work on the flow of the nature of their work...its just that its a new thing ( our parents were all in awe when Computer Science geeks are invading companies in the 60's & 70's, etc)

its not in the industry... its in the individual... :D)

  9. Try the jobstreet.com website, there are estimated salary ranges for each industry and job rank, you may wanna take a look at these indicative salary structures, the values were from surveys :)

Is there a resource or publication that's available that indicates the average salaries and benefits for specific job classifications?

I'm looking to hire the best and provide them with top tier salaries and benefits. Any salary surveys will be greatly appreciated.

  10. PM ko na headhunting firms..just do the drill sa application letters..hehehe

yup...i agree...nasa gitna na ng industry life cycle ang telcos...and 3G is an innovation to reinvent themselves to gain competitive advantage.....unlike CCs and BPOs na nasa early stage pa lang :D

hahaha! if they only know na mura lang ako.

how can i get hooked up with headhunting firms? i never tried that route before eh.

telco's are okay, but it's not a growth area right now. sure, dami nilang subscribers, pero nagsa-start na mag-plateau yung business. but i still think they'll get the same level of earnings as before. it would be interesting how they will introduce 3g into the market. as long as the price points are okay, kakagat ang tao. ang problem kasi gusto agad nila ma-recoup yung investments eh.

men, can you pm me any of the headhunting firms that you know of? i'll try them.

  11. pre...hard times ngaun..so expectations ng mga in-house recruitment ay mataas asking price mo kasi Post Grad degree holder ka tapos may international experience...pag sa head hunters...mas malaki usually ang offer kasi may one time commission sila sa package mo :) di ka risk averse candidate dude eh :) sawa ka na ba sa manufacturing at semicon? hehehe try mo sa telcos dude, Globe, PLDT & Smart offer juicy packages to executives :D

Sa CCs madami din dyan...mga Senior Managers and up get the best pay

i tried jobstreet and jobsdb. i applied to almost every program management and operations management positions there. bad trip, walang response. ewan ko kung takot sa akin or what. may aversion ba sila sa mga taong may work experience sa states or sa mga mba grads? parang natatakot sila sa ganun eh.

anyway, sige, let me know kung may makita ka sa network mo. salamat pre.

  12. for people who had experience in managing business units in other industries, you will be able to adapt to Operations or Program/Shift managers in the CC industry. Think of it as conducting a time and motion /MTM study on individuals (which makes it very complicated) instead of machines and utilizing each persons abilities for the quotas or goals. The rewards are very very good...but be sure you are a healthy chap coz the pressures will take its toll on you sooner or later

and finally...the CC industry is not a retirement industry...if you know what i mean, but it is here where you can make moolah when youre at it :)
