Yes. If you feel something, why deny it?

Movies because they're easily consumable and reconsumable and a more dense form of art when done well. But books have the leisure of being slow and methodical and cheaper to produce than a whole movie. Unraveling and sometimes forcing readers to increase their reading speed.

Boxer briefs. Best of both worlds. The elastic security of briefs and the inner thigh protection of boxers. Go one size up if it's too tight on your balls.

Take a break from the chaos for a bit. Drink. Sober up. Center myself. Then try to fix things one step at a time. -
No, I enjoy earth too much. Maybe if I was in massive debt, I'd do it to get away. Lol

Excited for the scientific possibilities. Worried at how the corporations plan on screwing with ordinary people.

How does the media affect people?
Blxst replied to Julianda's topic in Politics, Economy & Current Events
The media shapes people's perception of reality and truth. It's why it's called the fourth estate. If there's a subject that people are unfamiliar with, the power of primacy is usually enough to make people's first exposure to an idea enduring and difficult to change even when presented with facts contradicting that first impression. It's why scammers and con artists want media attention on how successful they are to make it more difficult to present facts that they are con artists, like in the case of Theranos.- 521 replies

The resitance to passing a divorce law is strange when the Catholic Church has it's own procedure for divorce. It makes marriage a penalty for people who get caught up in passion or for people that had not lived with their spouse long enough to discover their undesirable habits or attitudes that would have prevented the marriage. Congress should just pass a divorce law and make life easier for everyone.

Cultural impact alone, it's MJ. Greatness is more than stats and great moments. What shoes do non basketball fans know and wear and what sneaker heads go gaga over? The rest are not in order. Kobe needs to be in the conversation because of how his work ethic became legendary among NBA players. LeBron needs to be in the conversation because of longevity and beastly athleticism. Larry Bird needs to be in the conversation because Larry Legend. Go watch a mixtape. "If I had to choose a player to take a shot to save a game, I’d choose Michael Jordan. If I had to choose a player to take a shot to save my life, I’d take Larry Bird." - Pat Riley Kareem because he was LeBron before LeBron. Magic because he's the greatest PG of all time. George Mikan, Wilt Chamberlain, and Shaq because their dominance forced rule changes in their eras.

The ending isn't that great if you're going by the difference between the three endings, but if you look into the "indoctrination theory" on YouTube, it's a compelling argument on why "Destroy" is the "correct" ending. Personally, I appreciate the journey. If I played 3 games worth of stories and character development and the most annoying part is the ending, that's a great trilogy.

Truly revolutionary, in both presentation and sales. Probably the reason Xbox Live got so poppin, and the reason gaming journalists invented the term "COD killer". The campaign was exciting and it was fun and was worth multiple playthroughs. It has exciting moment to moment combat because it has respawn game modes, making it more exciting as long as your team isn't getting dunked on. This eliminated the downtime of non getting to play when you got killed. Plus the unlock and prestige systems created an RPG meta outside of the gunplay.

Pineapple Juice Anyone?
Blxst replied to sprb_m's topic in Food & Beverages (Not to be confused with Restos and Bar)
Not hard to find when I'm in the Philippines, but not super easy to find abroad. Lots of brands have added sugar, and most that don't have it as a blended fruit cocktail. When you do find the pure no added sugar ones, they're expensive. I generally prefer to just eat the fruit so I can get more fiber and nutrients, but a glass of pineapple juice is great for karaoke nights or great after a high protein meal. -
Laptop/notebook Owners: Trad. Shoulder Bag Type Or Backpack
Blxst replied to pogi1119's topic in Technology & Gadgets
As much as I like the convenience of messenger type bags, I find myself walking more and more, so backpack style has to win for better health and posture. I remember carrying a messenger bag of books and a tablet and it hurt my shoulder, eventually. -
