Bought 2 msi laptops, I highly recommend against it. First one's keyboard somehow broke from moist build up in my condo, I'm not sure what happened but the top of the keyboard was wet when I left it out one day. Anyway, it randomly dies and says no video input or something like that, the shop took it for a few days of testing and said it was fine. Still happened. Friend took a look at it and said I just had to set a few things, still happened. My mistake was buying another one. The new one has crashed a few times randomly as well.

Please lang SSD should be a standard at sana kung wala eh madali lang ikabit ung SSD.

Yes I am calling you out DELL!

Previous PCs: HP (hate it, owned 2 prior, first one sucked, gave it another chance to prove themselves, bad experience again; will never own again unless it's freely given); Acer (love it; gave mine away as a gift but fount out of stock due to high demand when I was buying).

Now: Dell Inspiron 13 7000 (7386) 2-in-1

Processor: 8th Gen Intel Quad Core i5-8265U

Memory: 8 GB non-upgradeable

Storage: 256 GB SSD

Display: 13.3 in; 1920x1080

Pen and Touch Support: 10 Touchpoints

Speech Recognition

Fingerprint Sensor

Ports and Slots: 1. 3:1 Micro SD Card Reader| 2. Universal audio jack | 3. USB 3.1 Gen 1| 4. Power | 5. HDMI 2.0 | 6. USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (DP/Power Delivery)

So far so good. I hate that when it goes to Sleep mode, it switches speaker to non-default instead of the selected default. But it is systemic to Windows 10 I guess.

meron ba bumibili ng lumang laptop here? thanks

Donate mo na lang sa mga kapatid, nephews or nieces, you earn graces pa which is more than any money that you can get. Then upgrade by buying the newer technologies. You'll feel alot better.

Mura na rin ngayon newer and better technology.

My prior post, grabe 8GB of RAM tapos SSD pa, price I paid is US$715. Back in 2006, nasa US$2,000 yung high end laptop tapos hindi pa ganyan quality (inferior) saka ambigat pa.

Parang TV rin, getting cheaper and better. One may think nakakatipid sila by holding on to their old working gadgets pero they are actually losing since mas mura na ngayon newer gadgets.

Is an ODD (Optical Disk Drive) still a must feature in your laptop of choice...?

I still look for it in laptops coz of drivers that come in optical disks, especially for new printers...

What's your take...?

today ODD is not an option, theres a wireless printers now (taf bit pricey than wired ones). and you can download the printer software from there support sites like epson or canon.

Planning to buy Asus FX504 or X560 kasi eh.

I suggest you go to an Asus concept store.

Try mo sa SM North Edsa Annex, or sa SM Megamall. I'm an Asus laptop user for almost 10 years now. They make excellent laptops for a wide range of budget.

Guys ano magandang laptop na good for gaming, office and videos.

Thanks

Good day sir.

Depends I guess on what your budget is. I'd like to think na you know your minimum specs na. I think Asus is a good brand when it comes to gaming and Predator based on what I've read and heard from those who have. It depends na lang siguro on how much are you willing to spend. There are some laptops in the 40-60k range that have 4gb graphics cards which may suit your needs. I have a semi (?) gaming laptop with 4gb graphics and 12gb of RAM. I just added an SSD to help things a bit for games, office and videos. Overall, I can play most games at a medium setting which is just right for me. Ayoko lang ipush yung battery too much since it wears it down. Lenovo sa akin. Asus, MSi and Dell have some gaming laptops and so does Acer but I think Asus is a good bet din naman. Defer na lang ako to those who know better than I do. Hope that helps.
