Really happy with the performance of MSI laptops. using MSI GS63VR stealth. ok sya for gaming dahil sa gtx 1060 na gamit nyang vid card.

My bad experience:

About 5 years ago, we bought a 'gaming' MSI laptop costing over 70k for one for my kids, motherboard died about 2 months after expiration of warranty, I was informed that the replacement of the mobo would cost over 40K. I bought a Dell laptop instead, and it is still ok.

Be very wary of HP branded laptops/notebooks. Madali talaga silang masira (as confrimed by their service centers and other laptop repair outlets all over the world)

 

My wife once had an HP laptop napakamahal ng price tag, wala pang 2 years sira na. The one we use in my company right now are HP as well, there are multiple instances na sira agad yung laptop after 1 month (brand new ones).

 

I suggest you try Asus (my personal choice), or if for business purposes - Lenovo or Dell.

I recently got a very good deal on an open box Razer Blade 15" 2019 model.

2060RTX

16 gigs of RAM

500 gigs of SSD storage

 

I bought another 500GB SSD drive to boost the storage up to 1TB.

 

The laptop, though did not come in it's original box, was still pretty much brand new. The shop said the previous buyer had buyer's remorse and shipped it back. Paid US$1,450+$50 for shipping via Kango Express. So it was a pretty good deal - considering I'm seeing Razer laptops here sporting price tags into the Php100K+

got an asus x, 4gb ram, (orig 1tb hdd) replaced with 240ssd, friggin win10, external keyboard and mouse

 

and a lenovo laptop, oldie, 2g ram, 80g hdd (repaired bad sector, soon to be replaced with a 120g ssd), win7 ultimate os, external keyboard and mouse still works like a charm.

Actually hindi lang memory ang problema mo, kundi pati yung storage mo.

 

I suggest you upgrade to (at least):

RAM: 8GB - for better response time in general

Storage: Solid State Drive (120GB of SSD is around 1200-1500 pesos) - for faster application loading time

 

Once nabili mo yung parts for upgrade, make your SSD the partition where your Operating System will be installed. Sa SSD mo din iinstall lahat ng applications mo. Kung malaki capacity yung SSD na mabibili mo, lahat ng applications diyan mo na iinstall. Otherwise, yung pinakamadalas mong gamiting applications ang iinstall mo sa SSD. Tapos gawin mo nalang secondary (or file) storage yung 500GB mo.

 

Kung kaya ng laptop mo ang 16GB na RAM, mas maganda sana na yun yung targetin mong RAM capacity. Other than that 8 GB is acceptable na.

Tama yon suggestion ni mrbig86 on memory 8gb memory, although I would bumped it to 16 gb if budget allows. 

If you can afford it, change your hard drive to 500gb ssd, and get rid of the HDD drive because it would slow up your overall experience.  

Take note of your processor - Intel Core i3-5010 - If you are using Microsoft Excel, you need to change your laptop because of this dual core processor.  If you have time, go to an apple showroom, run Microsoft excel on their dual core and try running it on their quad core demo unit.  That would give you an idea of the speed difference.

acer laptops are not as high-quality as dell's, but customer support is great. Try sending a message to their Facebook page; they reply promptly
