Not true. Yes, you would only want to have fugu from a place that has a certified preparer - but such are not limited to Japan. Korea (South) comes to mind - have had it there several times.

 

Quite overrated, by the way. Sure, it's "good" but the fish is really rather bland. Its only appeal is the fact that it's got an aura of "danger."

 

You're better off spending the cash on some first-rate toro.

I've tried this one, twice pa nga lang .. meron pala sa balaw balaw nito, masubukan nga ulit minsan .. :cool:

 

 

I've also tried frogs, pero hindi ko talaga matipuhan eh, hehehe..

used to hunt for Bayawak in our town north of Cebu with my relatives... After a rainy night is usually the best time to hunt them kasi nagpapaaraw ang mga iyon to have their skin dry and dogs are the best companions kasi alam nila ang amoy ng bayawak....

 

Best cooked with coconut milk and with lots of ginger and chili..tastes like chicken meat...love it.

 

Tasted wild cats also, kaso malamig sa sikmura ang karne , masarap din naman, adobo or me gata.

Well I love turtle soup and turtle egg. I wonder whether you consider it exotic. Of course

masarap yung abodong rabbit. tried one before. we tried rabbit farming before.

tried wild pig. marami sa forest sa marawi e haram sa mga muslim pinapatay nila sa mga hunters who sells it in Iligan City. Some even enterprising individual markets it in a bottled version like a bottle spanish sardines.

i had tried "ginataang sawa".. an exotic food similar in taste with chicken. good in taste, but i was allergic to it..
