Ako, adventurous ako when it comes to food. Sabi ko nga, I'm into Seafood diet ... what I see, I eat. Mga exotic foods na natikman ko na (aside from the streetfoods like one-day old chick, walkman, betamax, IUD, tokneneng, balut, etc) are pritong dagang bukid, adobong fresh palaka, camaro, kaldereta at kilawing aso, kambing, pusa, baboy ramo, bayawak at quail. I've tasted na rin yung pig's brain (sarap, pareng fatso!), dila ng baka (lengua), "bat and balls", "soup #5", ano pa ba? Basta, willing ako to try anything, basta meron munang mauunang sumubok before me, he-he-he!

Frogs, adobo... kasama ko pang kuya nung namimingwit kame, tapos benta namin sa mga lasenggo sa lugar namin.

Dogs, sa Baguio, i think s trinidad theres a restaurant there serving only dog meat.

eat the meat during lunch, wow at night parang di ramdam yung lamig ng baguio

Ginataang Kuhol,

Bato-bato, something like a pigeon type bird, good and cripsy

Never tried it yet, but want to...

Salagubang, adobo.

Gamo-gamo, heard this also, dont know the way it cook.

Big Grasshopper....balang yata tawag dun..

Bats?

Salagubang and gamugamu even the grasshoppers are usually cooked adobo style pero yung dry na adobo... crunchy sila saka may parang juicy part pagkakagat mo. sarap naman... high in protein. :)

i will never eat bats! they look like daga!

Lat february when my aunts from the States visited here, we took them to the Exotic Restaurant in Laguna. We had some deep-fried frogs, and some wild pig (baboy damo I think). The frog legs where real tasty, the wild pig though tasted somewhat gamey. I didn't like it but my aunts seemed to enjoy the wild pig. We also had some tapang usa. I didn't eat any though because I had some before and I never developed a liking for it.

tapang usa - imagine Bambi.   smoked and sundried Bambi.

pero masarap! :boo:

Eto mga Chong?

1. Turtle eggs

2. Ostrich Meat

3. Kangaroo meat

4. tapang usa (deer)

5. baboy damo( wild boar)

6. eel

7. beef sashimi (raw beef)

8. Sawa (python)

9. bayawak (monitor lizard)

Bon appetit' :D

i've tried raw turtle eggs from Tawi-Tawi. parang balot lang ang lasa. mainit init pa.

I tried the eel several times. Very nutritious. Its a delicacy in china and eaten during cold weather coz pampainit ng katawan, but ok din during ordinary days. Not really advisable for us here in the Philippines coz we're so overpopulated already. ;)
