pinoy ako pero my money will be on couture. either matakedown sya all 3 rounds ni couture or puro clinch sila. mahina clinch ni vera compared to couture.

dude Brandon Vera has a dangerous clinch as well... knees to the head of a MT specialist?

Randy is Randy man, but i'd say he'd get picked apart by a more decent striker than Big Nog

but as what coach Olympus said, its MMA, anything can happen

Why talk about the couture-vera thing... its too early for it, but of course Vera here!!!!! TUF 10 is jut in the corner... prior to MMA career kimbo (pala) is a pro boxer. correct me if Im wrong but that's what i saw in a youtube video...

He was actually a street fighter, as in literal na street fighter. At the same time he was moonlighting as a bodyguard for Reality Kings, the people responsible for porn websites like MILF Hunter, Street B***jobs, Cumfiesta, etc., websites almost all of us are familiar with (be honest, y'all). That's where he made his name, and his fight with police officer Sean Gannon made him more famous. Both of them, actually. Kimbo became the face of EliteXC, and Gannon fought once in the UFC, losing to Branden Lee Hinkle via TKO.

NOVER OFF UFN 19 WITH SEIZURE

"The Ultimate Fighter" season eight semi-finalist Phillipe Nover has been forced to withdraw from a fight with Sam Stout on the undercard of tonight's Ultimate Fight Night 19 due to medical issues.

The 25 year-old Nover suffered a seizure sometime Wednesday afternoon and was scratched from the card, according to a posting on UFC president Dana White's official Twitter account at 3:20 C.S.T. Nover is reportedly doing "ok" after the incident.

"(Sam) Stout was very cool during the incident and is a class act," wrote White.

The UFC has yet to announce the change officially.

Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brett Rogers on CBS

CBS has shown MMA in the past, with three EliteXC fight cards airing on the network in 2008. But the presence of Fedor makes the November 7 card a very different animal. EliteXC bouts consisted of second-tier fighters, but Fedor is widely regarded as the best fighter in the history of mixed martial arts, and hard-core MMA fans will consider Fedor vs. Rogers -- and not Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin at UFC 106, November's true MMA heavyweight title fight.

Still, the CBS/Showtime/Strikeforce/M-1 partnership has a long, long way to go before it can be considered a legitimate threat to the UFC. The UFC brand name is the gold standard in MMA, and that won't change any time soon -- even though a heavyweight title fight on network television is an awfully big move by the competition.

UPDATE: CBS released a statement from Kelly Kahl, Senior Executive Vice President, Prime Time, CBS Television, saying, "There's no question this is a sport that is fast becoming a force in popularity and as a business. We're excited to be the platform that will enable millions more to see the athlete regarded as the very best in his sport. The Number One heavyweight on the most-watched network has a very nice ring to it."

Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker added, "It is an honor to have the opportunity to bring the Strikeforce brand to CBS. We are looking forward to bringing MMA back to the network and to having the world's No. 1 heavyweight - Fedor - compete for the first time on live network television against one of America's most promising young, undefeated stars - Brett Rogers."

Speaking of fighting reality series, I'm so excited about Season 2 of The Contender Asia. If Season 1's starpower included K-1 veteran John Wayne Parr & WBC World Super Welterweight Muay Thai Champion Yodsaenklai, Season 2 has WBC International Superwelterweight Champion Malaipet Sasiprapa & MMA veterans Duane "Bang" Ludwig (18-9-0 MMA, 66-13-0 MT) & Kit Cope (2-4-0 MMA, 23-1-0 MT). Can't wait! :D
