the Lesnar Herring fight was decided by that 1st right straight in the fight... too bad Heath was at the receiving end... yup never saw Heath dominated even in Pride, i was hoping he'd give Brock a run for his money standing up, but as Brock said Heath doesn't know much about him & not much tapes to review what he's gonna do in the fight.

over all it was a nice card, and yeah i would like to see Lesnar against a big man like Congo in the octagon as well. but i'd bet Lesnar would win this as well. ^_^

Brock = The Next Big Thing?

brock came out to fight this time, the first right straight sent herring tumbling on his back. he is still yet to be tested though, i'd like to see him against congo to match his power and size. GSP was totally awsome! his take down defense is remarkable

He also came out to fight against Mir, its just that he committed a rookie mistake then...

Brock = The Next Big Thing?

Well, he is the Big Thing right now, literally and figuratively, heheheh! He will definitely terrorize the HW division while he is working on his progress (partida pa yan, nag-aaral pa lang ng MMA pero dinodominate na yung mga kalaban), its just a matter of time... Sino pa ba itatapat sa kanya dyan? I think Cain Velasquez will be a good fight for Brock pero kakainin din nya ng buhay yun... Good thing Brandon Vera slid down to LHW, coz I dont want to see our fellow countryman mutilated by Brock, heheheh!

Sa tingin ko may tulog lang sya sa mga high-level BJJ experts in the HW division like Gonzaga and Werdum. Knowing those high-level bjj experts, you can f*ck them all night, but they will still have the last laugh, heheheh!

Yup Yup. I agree. I think he can beat up either Werdum or Minotauro all he wants but he'll still bet submitted in the end. (Remember that Bob Sapp - Nog fight back in PRIDE. Nog was beaten to a pulp but came out with the submission victory in the end) But who knows? Brock showed a lot more "maturity" this time in his fight with the Texas Crazy Horse. It was all a matter of capitalizing on his strengths (his base, his size and strength and his wrestling Pedigree) and minimizing his weaknesses.

Brock knew Herring was probabbly better in BJJ than he was and that is why he didn't take any uneccessary risks this time. Mike Goldberg even commented that despite the fact that Brock got Herring's back a lot during the fight he never put in the hooks. He just rode Herring, instead of choosing to try and submit him he just battered him with punches and knees to the body. He capitalized on his strengths and what he was good at.

Even more impressive was that punch he threw at the very start of the fight that floored Herring. It showed us that he's not just a wrestler, that he has tools standing up and is not afraid to use them.

He is clearly now a force to be reckoned with in the UFC HW division (even more so due to the lack of "quality" heavyweights in the said division) and I expect to see him improve further in his next few fights.

I'd love to see him against either Kongo or Werdum or Napao that would be a great fight.

sayang I go for Jon Fitch sana pero GSP is more athletic

Not just athletic. He really is the more COMPLETE fighter. But kudos to Jon Fitch. To get knocked down twice in the fight and nearly finished and still keep one's composure and poise and FINISH is something quite remarkable especially if you do it against someone as highly touted as GSP. He had nothing to be ashamed of after that performance.

Kudos to to Heath Herring for finishing the fight against Brock Lesnar. Now that's what you call heart, grit and determination.

pansin ko lang kay brock mabilis din mapagod

Well that's the price of trying to be "explosive" in your movement while carrying that amount of muscle mass. (That flying knee attempt right off the bell was quite something. ehehe). But then again it could have been the "butterflies" also. Brock was trying to prove he was legit so he probabbly had that at the back of his head all the time he was in there and it's given that stress does cause you to fatigue a lot quicker.

He was a lot more relaxed though as the fight wore on. Even nodding his head to the crowd while they were chanting his name, eventually relishing the experience of dominating Heath Herring and being a winner in the octagon.

i was waiting for him to be more explosive during the latter rounds after that devastating first punch..after the fight i thought i just saw him deliver 2 solid punches. other than that he was just contented to be on top of heath.

just my observation

i don't know chief, Brock was explosive the whole fight, he'd take down Heath with authority and i felt bad about it because Heath didn't know what to do everytime he was under Lesnar. i didn't expect Brock to be that athletic for his size & i was rooting for Heath, but man o man, after that first right hand that tumbled Heath the match was decided.

i can't say Brock is like a Houston, yups he's never tasted a solid shot & we don't know if his chin is solid as well, but i just can't think of anyone in the HW division of UFC that can match up to that quickness and power as of present, Cain Velasquez? maybe, but probably not, he'd be the one i'd compare to Houston since he never tasted the end of a 2nd round in a fight.

Napao & Brock would be good to see, i'd say Napao has a solid chin sort of & probably can roll to a sub victory against Brock's GnP

plus,Dan Miragliotta poked herring's eye! :D

hahaha... that could be a bad omen as joe rogan said it!...

its quite a good outing this time for brock as he completely dominated the texas crazy horse. that first punch has so much power that really rocked & bloodied heath herring early.

GSP proved that he has the complete arsenal in the welterweight division. next in line would be a collission with BJ Penn which surely will bring the house down. also, kudos to jon fitch for bringing the fight but was just outclassed by the champ.

KenFlo was also great in his outing against the huerta.

Affliction vs UFC? Hehehe ... Emelianenko vs Lesnar would be interesting to see. I don't think Fedor has fought a man as Large and as "Explosive" as Lesnar. Though seeing Emelianenko in action against Tim Sylvia in Affliction: Banned really was something else.

hahahaha

Fedor will destroy Brock

Ground and pound lang itong si brock eh, pag nahuli ng armbar ni fedor yan, tapos agad si lesnar
